If you're riding the Dragon....

That always remindes me of scuba diving at night. Moray eels are out of their holes and swimming around. If you shined your light on one they would swim up the beam so you had to look away and turn you light somewhere else.
Knowing there is a five foot long, 6 inch thick snake looking critter with a mouth full of teeth a few feet away invisible in the dark but you can't look :yikes:
.

I have an un-bucket list; things I don't ever want to do. I love diving but, I have ZERO interest in night diving!

:yikes:

He did follow the proper procedure of straightening the bike before he hit the brakes.

If he ever rides again, time for a little trail braking 101.

I was thinking about this all day yesterday, 150 miles or so out and back to Gettysburg, every corner we dove into. A little clutch to help it fall over a touch more, I trail brake ALL the time, a little rear break, throttle, try to scrape a bit as much as possible, look, look, look.

I hope when I really burn one, it's the right move if I stand it up... :jameo:

From the ET riders forum;

More suck;

The rider of the bike that hit the 'Vette - This quote was lifted from a thread on a 'Vette forum, posted by the guy driving the red 'Vette. Amazing to hear the rider's injuries were not more severe:

"Both of us were fine although the biker may have a wrist or forearm injury-could be broken. He was able to use it with some pain."

So, the guy that got tore up went down later in the day in the oil slick left from the Triumph/Vette incident.

Yuck.

Man, the ET riders forum has it going on about this incident! The dude in the Vette even joined in the discussion.

Get this; he was there until the very end of clean up and the wrecker folks used DIRT from the side of the road to clean up the freaking oil.

Another guy put up pics, exact same corner, two bikes head long into one another plus a couple more bikes piled on.

They are debating the role of photog's who sit at certain spots all the time distracting noob's and contributing to the incidents.

Good stuff...

You glance over and try to see the name on the sign but get your eyse back on the road as quickly as possible. Most have advertising brochures at the gift shop at the top of the mountian.
You don't freakin' stare and wave. :crazy:
