When we told the kids way back when that they were going to have a little sister, #1 daughter was so excited she could only squeek, #1 son was bouncing he was so excited and #2 son was grinning ear to ear.

#1 daughter is happy that she gets to share her bedroom with her living, breathing dress up doll. She picked out the outfit for SR to wear home from the hospital and has stated that she will pick out the clothes every day.

#1 son wanted to hold her as soon as I took them to the hospital. Then the other 2 wanted to. Told them they had to wait till tonight.

:huggy: It's so wonderful and she's so beautiful - but all your young'uns are. to you both.

congratulations!!!!!!!

now, I can understand how you would not know.

I had a cat once that everyone involved said it was a boy when I got it. I never actually looked.

Over time I started to think with great despair that my original boy cat was a homocat. he was constantly mounting the new boy.

one day I couldnt find the new cat, so I went looking for him fearing that maybe his a-hole had finally been ripped open and he was laying somewhere bleeding to death.

I finally found him, he was under the couch with what I originally thought was a rat or something, then I realized there were 6 rats,, he had kittens.

looking back on that situation, I now tend to think he was a girl all along.

:killingme:killingmeYou post some of the funniest things!!!

Congrats to you and your family! What a beautiful little girl she is. It's really cute to hear how excited your other kids are about their little sister.

Yes it's becoming more popular. I swear I rarely heard that name until my own Samantha was born in 96!

She is beautiful! And that is a perfect name for her, she has such sweet little rose lips! :huggy: :flowers:

I think it is because of the "American Girl" and one of them has a doll named "Samantha". Also, Samantha is a very beautiful name. :yay:
