I'm bored....I need some new friends….

It probably doesn’t help that both my husband and myself both work an hour and a half from home. So socializing with co-workers is pretty much out except on weekends and frankly when I get home on Friday, I’m not too interested in driving more then a few miles for any reason. 3 hours M-F is enough for both of us.

Why would you subject yourself to thay kind of drive day after day ?
Because I cannot make the same $$ in SoMD unless I get a Govt job on base, and without an engineering degree, I am finding that difficult to do. Not going contractor because I have 14 years in with the Govt. The commute sucks, but I'm used to it and living where we do, we have family and friends close by.

I’ve looked locally but haven’t found anything. I’d love a job on base but I’d have to start at entry level, since I’m been in banking most of my working career. But I can’t even find anything at that level. Any idea’s welcome.

What part of "banking" were you in?

Good with numbers? Finance and accounting?

Degree or no??

What skill set do you have ? Isn't there anything local that fits you ?
Political Science degree but I'm almost willing to do anything to get my foot in the door.

Apparently nothing fits me around here because I'm not an IT guy or engineer.:yahoo:
