These are sincere questions. Not looking for an argument.

Would those who voted for Obama post why?

What did you think he was going to do (with the economy)?

Did you research him at all?

I would add to this:

Do you intend to vote for him again?

Why?

I'm bored so, what's the point? Many (most?) GOP'ers don't know much more about our team or considered what our team did, or would do, with the economy. I mean, for most of us, it simply comes down to D or R, period. We have terms like 'yellow dog' for a reason.

Further, I consider myself an above average voter in terms of learning about the candidates, their record and trying to figure out their beliefs. The way Bush conducted the wars was as much a shock to me as finding out that you voted for Obama. His, Bush's, choices to expand entitlements desperate for reform, not expanding domestic oil production capabilities, hell, the way he sat on his hands at the beginning when our planes were being held by the Chinese. TARP will forever amaze me along with a GOP president bailing out the UAW.

Was I just wrong? A bad researcher? This is why I like Paul; Bush, McCain, Romney, it's not that far for them to move to be all about more and more government power and spending. Paul has a LONG way to go change THAT much.

So, when you get your answers, what's it going to mean, really?

Thank you for this insightful yet irrelevant diatribe on the ex-president living rent free in your head. :buddies:

Thank you for you insightful and VERY relevant diatribe on the ex president NOT living in your head, or memory, thereby providing great promise that may well repeat our mistakes of the past.

Those who cannot remember the past are...Republicans? Is that it?

Boy you sure are fired up in the mornings!

No, I'm now old enough to pay attention to history and I will. It really is time to let Bush go. You'll be peaceful and serene. I promise. :poorbaby: :lmao:

Coffee.

Point is, in context of what you are asking Obama supporters; why and would you again, shouldn't we hold ourselves to the same, or higher, standard?

I'm not fired up and you know darn well that was NOT a Larry diatribe.

today I saw a truck with vanity tags..said "GOBAMA" I have no idea if that is pro obama, anti obama..but on your tags? wow.

I see Obama stickers on cars from time to time and I wonder why. Then I realize it is possible that some people are actually pleased with him still. then I go right back to the "Why? question again.

I have to think that part of it is that they are simply pleased that he IS THERE.

Kind of how you'd feel if your son was President, but it was obvious he sucked at it. You'd still vote for him.

And this shows the crux of the issue, to many people do NOT bother to learn or understand about the issue, if news is bad, its all the Guy in Office or the Party in Power's fault.

I saw again and again, people say they were voting for Obama and/or the Democrats, BECAUSE the Republicans screwed up the Economy.

And I would ask, If you hand over the reigns to people that are going to do the same thing, only 10 times worse, how do you think things will get better?

Which I never got an answer.

Yes, people had ever right to be P.O. at Republicans. Yet the Republicans were able to hold on to the House 4 more years than anyone expected, by concentrating on just winning elections from 2002-2006. What does that say about the voters and MSM influence on them, that if the only way to win a close election is to grow government and shell out the tax payer money, or borrow against tax payer money.

So, who are the voters that won't vote for meanies that won't support government helping people and would dare talk about slashing government programs, BUT, then turn around and say they a P.O. at Republicans for deficiet spending?

I was watching Obama a few years ago, give some speech or another, and I remember thinking "WOW, this guy sounds great, I'm gonna watch and see what he does."

He did nothing for two years.

Always amazed me that anyone could vote for him, with the no-stand record he held.

Generally, it is extraordinarily easy to stay in the House once elected.

Beyond that, it's really just a matter of riding the President's coattails or being in a district that leans strongly one way or another. The battles are fought in the marginal districts where the voter registrations are fairly even.

He is black

What did you think he was going to do (with the economy)?

Make it black

Did you research him at all?

Yes, he is black

No, I didn't vote for him

Kinda sad but his skin color is the only reason he was given the presidency
