I'm finally free!

I'm free at last!!!! DCFD just recently liberated me from the stuck elevator in my building. What I'm most proud of is the fact that I didn't pee my pants because I had the super large mug of coffee this morning on the way to work only to get stuck before I could get to the bathroom. I remember yelling thank you to the two firemen holding the doors open as I jumped down out of the elevator while running to the bathroom. And, an even bigger thank you to the fireman that when back in to get my purse I left on the elevator floor!

Nope, no pantyhose to adjust because its beachwear day...oops - I mean casual dress day here at work!

This is the first time I've worked in a building with an elevator. I'm glad I only work on the 2nd floor. I almost ALWAYS take the stairs just because of stories like yours.

I was stuck for just a little over an hour. That little phone in the elevator merely connects you to building security and they have to try several things like pushing other floor buttons. I finally pulled my cell phone out and dialed 911. The emergency operator said are you the ones stuck on the 5th floor, because Fire is already in route. Seriously, DCFD had me out very fast right after their arrival.

I'd love to get stuck in an elevator with you.
