How many...

Teens caught STD's because they were taught that condoms will prevent them? Or clinics provided free needles?

How many teens have died because they have been taught to drink "responsibly?"

How many Teens have fried eggs for brains because they bought the left's teaching that marijuana isn't addictive and won't lead to other drugs?

How many Teens mourn the loss of an aborted Child and now have second thoughts regarding the line "Its just a fetus."

How many of our vets lost heart when they saw thousands of their countrymen destroying flags, cursing patriotism, and labeling them all "Baby killers?"

Let's be clear about this...the cost of the Liberal mantras is astronomical...it isn't just a difference of opinion...its tens of thousands of lives that bought the Liberal lies....either dead or permanently screwed up.

Damn...

...Christy.

OUTSTANDING post.

I've been arguing with Vrai (she's 100% with you) that we gotta excercise restraint, that we don't know what we're not told, that maybe it is quietly being taken care of, but...

We have a nation providing freedom for some folks diseased with self loathing and loathing of nation so, they are really not part of the equation are they? They're gonna revile America no matter what.

So, we are at war.

Right now is a very bad time for my finger to be on any buttons...

Awesome post, Christy! Today I felt it for the first time - that low-level panic that my son could be injured or killed. If we pull out before finishing the job, all those American lives will have been wasted like they were nothing. It just pizzes me off to think about it.

Heard on the radio that they're pulling out the AC-130 gunships, I do believe we mean business this time. I just wish it had been done BEFORE marching in our Marines.
Have you ever seen the damage one of those can do? It's unbelieveable. Literally turns a mountain into a molehill. I like it!

Last time I mentioned that solution it got a tepid response.

Sorry about that chief.
WW2 was different folks, we were attacked. I don't recall Iraq attacking us. We invaded a soverign nation for reasons unbeknownst to most. I won't argue that point here, you all would jump off a cliff if dumbya told ya to, but anyway it is a different scenario.

Obviously the Iraqi people didn't shower us with flowers as some of you on here said they would a year ago, now we have to deal with the tarbaby. Do you really think fighting a war for peace is working? I've got some investment property for sale in SE DC if you do.

:yeahthat: Interesting analysis from UPI. Unfortunately the anti-war folks just don't get it, and probably never will, so we'll continue to meet strong resistence wherever it is we go to weed out the radical muslim element. :duh:

"That is the real lesson for the U.S. commitment to Iraq. Whatever one thought about the advisability of Operation Iraqi Freedom, the United States is there with 100,000 troops and a solid commitment to endow Iraq with a democratic system of government. While failure is not an option for Bush, it clearly is for Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., who called Iraq the president's Vietnam. It is, of course, no such animal. But it could become so if Congressional resolve dissolves.

Bui Tin, who served on the general staff of the North Vietnamese army, received South Vietnam's unconditional surrender on April 30, 1975. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal after his retirement, he made clear the anti-war movement in the United States, which led to the collapse of political will in Washington, was "essential to our strategy."

Visits to Hanoi by Jane Fonda and former Attorney General Ramsey Clark and various church ministers "gave us confidence that we should hold on in the face of battlefield reverses."

One more time and try to stay awake while I explain it AGAIN:

Saddam Hussein invaded a sovreign nation (it was called Kuwait) back in 1990 because he said Kuwait and the UAE were producing too much oil and goofing up Iraq's oil sales. Kuwait appealed to the UN - "Hey! Help us kick this guy out of our country!" So the UN said, "Hey, Saddam - here's a trade embargo. How do you like them apples? Now get out of their country and leave them alone."

Well, Saddam didn't like them apples very much and got more aggressive. So aggressive, in fact, that the Saudis (bless their black hearts) asked the US for protection against Iraqi invasion. Saddam responded by pretending Kuwait belonged to him and declaring jihad against the US and Israel (who, up to this point, had nothing to do with it).

The UN responded by telling Saddam AGAIN to get out of Kuwait. Saddam AGAIN said, "Bite me." The US Congress says, "We're not kidding, dude" and Operation Desert Storm begins.

Norman Schwartzkpf give Saddam the ol' Left Hook and Saddam finally gives - Kuwait is liberated.

Since Saddam was so nasty, the UN gave him a set of rules he had to abide by to curtail him trying this little invasion trick again. Saddam responded by gassing the Kurds.

The UN said, "You better let UN inspectors come in there and leave them alone while they do their work!" Saddam again said, "Bite me - I kill you all! Hahahahahaha!". This went on, back and forth, for over 10 years. In the meantime, Bill Clinton ordered a few missiles to be lobbed at Iraq - Saddam said, "Ha ha! Missed me!"

George Bush finally comes along and says, "Hey, UN! Aren't you going to enforce your rules?" The UN replies, "No." Saddam says again, "Hahahahaha! Bite me!"

So Bush bit him.

And there it is, in plain kinnygarden language. Do you have any questions or do you understand now?

Nope - my son is 1st Cav (Army) so he's not seeing any action that I'm aware of.

I'll be crossing my fingers for your co-workers son - they're doing the dirty work right now.

Come on jlab...

...you are WAY smarter than that.

WW2 was different folks, we were attacked. I don't recall Iraq attacking us. We invaded a soverign nation for reasons unbeknownst to most

Wanna know who NEVER attacked us? Adolph Hitler. He, however, declared war on us right after we declared war on Japan.

Osama Bin Laden, another dumbass, declared, for himself and all his followers and supporters, war on us in 1997 and has attacked us numerous times.

We have been in a state of war against Iraq since 1991. Iraq has failed time and again to meet the terms they agreed to in order for us to stop stomping their guts out.

They have been in habitual violation of UN resolution after resolution.

Iraq clearly corrupted the UN via the oil for food program along with some big Frogs and others who oppossed what amounts to our continuation of hostilities against Iraq for being stupid.

Read Clitnon, sorry CLINTON (can't help it). Read the Iraq War resolution.

You know how many big mouths caterwalled in '91 with their prissy little attitudes that Big Bush didn't 'finish the job' and was therefore bad.

You are way intelligent enough to know damn well Hussien, per the resolution that Sen. Kerry and Edwards passed, would HAVE to be dealt with, finally, sooner or later and sooner ALWAYS makes sense when later means more danger.

Goddamn it, get off your self righteous 'WMD' pony. That crap is like saying Hitler didn't have a bomb in '45. You KNOW it was a matter of time. Be for killing these low life pizz ants. Be for Democracy in Iraq.

The US is fast becoming this sole thing, this entity that everyone loaths but somehow everyone wants to be part of. Well #### them. Be with us, world, or be ####ing dead.

We HAVE to win in the Middle east. Freedom and liberty and representative government and womans rights and gay rights and minority rights and condoms in school will follow ONLY if we win.

Britain is drowning in Islamic fundamentalist grass roots. So is Europe.

Just pretend they are Christians for awhile and then you can help get the job DONE!!!!!!

Or watch a world continue to develop where people who would kill you and I dead for our lifestlyes grow in power.

Come on man!

Don’t recall? Guess you were asleep with the rest of the world for most of the 90s up until 2003. Iraq routinely attacked our aircraft operating in the “No-Fly Zone”.

Unbeknownst to most? Read the frapping Public Law. Tells you exactly why Congress gave the President the authority. It’s a little more then WMD, probably shock the hell out of you if you ever read it.

Different scenario? Hmm, WW2 and, more specifically, our involvement came about how many years after Hitler had been running rampant in Europe? Did he actually attack us? Japan did attack our military, but not our nation (Hawaii was simply one of our imperial possessions back then) and isn’t that what Iraq has been doing? Sounds like about the same scenario to me.

HEY Darkriver...

Good find!
Love the mini-movie of the AC 130...just wish we had Habib from Al Jezeera on the ground interviewing some Militia Generalissimo when the faint drone of the Pratt & Whitney's preceeds an eruption of Hades on earth.....Now that would be worth watching from Ground level!!!!!

Watched a Discovery Wings show last night about "gunships" from the AC-47 "Spookie" to the AC-130 "Spectre". Awesome killing machines and I am sure the AC-130 is even better now then when it was first used in 1967. Good hunting guys.

Vrai, just to play devil's advocate, why am I the sick one for wanting to torture terrorists in self-defense, and no one else is sick for wanting the rivers in Fallujah to run red with blood? Why is one method of self-defense sick and the other not?
