How long ago did he retire? He did a deer for me a couple of years ago and seemed to still be going full steam with a cold box full of deer to process. I've since started doing my own so have not been back, but he sure was a nice man and a lot of fun to talk to.
Might be his father they are speaking of, the butcher is still there

I know if this Mr. Joe Brown! I hear one time in Calvert County Court house he did the #2 in a chair and they had to ask him to leave. Not to mention the chair was thrown away.
I heard it was the bank in leonardtown. he came in sat for awhile and stank the place up, when they removed him the chair went next :lmao:

He did the same at Cedar Point FCU. Came in and asked my wifey if he could transfer is funds from another institution. She excused herself and went in the back for assistance from a superior.

The superior explained to him that he didn't meet the criteria to become a member. He left and wifey had to febreeze the chair for the next hour.

The Enterprise did a story on the one armed gentleman a few years ago. He is/was (?) a highly decorated Korean War vet with a passion for hiking, he did the Appalachian Trail point to point at one time. He lost his arm when he was shot by a burglar when he was living in Florida. This is all I can recall about the article.

The first is/was an older gentleman who would walk along Rt 235 everyday. Mostly I would see him walking between Hollywood VFD and Sandgates rd, but he only had one arm and always carried a long stick. For the longest time I would see him almost everyday; rain, shine, or snow. I have not seen him for sometime now and wonder what has happened to him.

I used to see this gentleman every day as I headed to LaPlate for class...and I graduated over 5 years ago. I always wondered why he carried the walking stick and didn't use it.

There was also an older gentleman who used to jog through Wildewood every morning. He always wore a black jersey type shirt with the name "Bob" on the back. As each car past him, he would wave...whether he was running towards you or not. I looked forward to seeing him every day...but I haven't seen him in a while now.

I wonder how many chairs have been thrown away because of him? Three I know of so far!

His name is Larry and I used to work with him on the base before he retired. He used to hike sections of the Appalachian Trail on long weekends and for his vacation. Over the years he had walked most of it from Main to Georgia Appalachian Trail home page Since he retired I understand he has walked it completely (probably in both directions)

There is one older chap, in a wheelchair that I used to see, accompanied by his Husky, off of 246 (I think) on my way to Dorsey Park. I would contemplate stopping to chat and ask him about his companion and how he was able to find such a gentle walker, but I always had my girls with me going in. He was not usually out when I came back around.
He's not as old as you'd think. His name is Mr. Lathroum. He was in a bad accident on St. John's Road a few years ago. He had that husky (Buddy) before his accident. I think he lives with his brother on Brown Road now, since the accident. He's a very nice man.

Let's not forget "Killer", he's the old guy on the bike you see riding around Laurel Grove all the time.
