They are the media! They will NOT be friendly to anything they don't think is cool or hip or fun, IE, basic conservative principles. George Will has said that one of the fun things about being a conservative is that you never expect too much out of human behavior so you don't spend much time being disappointed and when you're wrong, you're happy about it.

Admit it; Bush KNEW what he was up against when he started this crusade. If he didn't, he really is dumb. If he did, he just messed up and couldn't handle one of the great givens of modern conservative principle; the media will NEVER be on your side.

The vast majority of Iranians couldn't give a rats patoot if they have nuclear capabilities or not. They hate the current government, but after their last go round at overthrowing despots went sooo well they aren't ready to try again just yet.

Ahamdamnutjob was voted in under rather suspicious circumstances (they adopted their own version of "vote early, vote often"), that left quite a few Iranian citizens dumbfounded. My BFs exact words "zat facking terrorist?" (he'd lived in Tehran when ol' Mahmood Jan was mayor).

He had promised to sweep out corruption. Instead he's turned the government into a "brother-in-lawcracy" and butted heads with the HMICS (head mullahs in charge) who are trying to strengthen ties with the West as their pocketbooks depend upon it. He even replaced the Oil Minister with an inexperience cousin. Yeah, that won't have any major effect on their economy. Gas riots anyone?

So what's the catch here? Iranians, love or hate their government, are some of the most nationalistic people on the planet. Nationalists are like teenagers. Telling them "don't do this" is almost like a dare. Iranians like Americans and Europeans, hence the large crop of bootleg cds, videos, and illegal satellite dishes. But have any government- especialy the USA, Russia, or UK given their history of interfering with Iran's government during the larger part of the past century- telling them they can't do something will set even the most ardent anti-akhoond off on an anti-western rant.

Iran doesn't have to launch a missile at us or attack us directly - or Israel. All they need to do is furnish low yield nukes to terrorists - or parts for a full bomb to be assembled elsewhere. Or arm a craft with a bomb that gets close to the U.S. Who'd know it was Iran?

Dang gum it Larry there you go again with Bush. How many times do I have to agree with you on Bush… the biggest liar and failure of all time? Please explain to me how his failures equate to getting out of dodge? Perhaps you could enlighten us to your plan? Given all that we face now, all the failures, all the mess… what is your plan? I absolutely agree Bush is no conservative but Bush is a globalist? Because he invaded Iraq makes him a globalist? I’d be interested in knowing how you come to this conclusion.
