At first I was glad to see someone else on here who is against the Iraq war, but damn.

Well...

He does believe that there is a real threat from Islamic fundamentalists. Unfortunately, he is more askeered of those big, bad liberal headlines. If he stopped trying to appease the people who will never approve of him, maybe he could make some progress.

...that's just wonderful.

So, we have our troop surge. Good. They'll execute the Presidents new plan and perhaps in 5 months or a year or 2 or 10 or more US troop levels will be significantly reduced and we'll all look back on this and say 'it was worth it.'

It's a nice plan because if it doesn't work, it's the media and cowards like me at fault. Besides, the Iraqi's can't want to go on killing each other forever, right?

In the mean time, Saddam is already deposed, a democracy has been installed, they've held elections and the WMD issues have been resolved.

Let the crusade continue.

My point is that if churches were not off limits during WWII for whatever reason, mosques should not be off limits if someone is shooting from them. Turn a mosque into a artillery platform, park a tank by one, shoot from one, it gets blown up.
