If you'd stop shouting profanities at them as soon as you roll down the window they probably won't want to search your car. :lmao:
You're probably right.

I got the red lights after the first wal-mart light going south on 235, so I went to the other light and pulled into the parking lot. Cop got out and asked me why I did that. I told him " Because I didnt want to stop on the main road. Figured you didnt want to stand on the main road either" He didnt care. Wrote me a fix-it for a headlight.

It's all about common sense and good judgement. The only problem is that not all drivers and not all police use common sense and good judgement all the time. If you were being pulled over by a marked police car at night and the officer was in uniform, you probably should stop as soon at it is safe to. If someone got out of the car that looked like Tonio (avator), uniform or not, I'd probably kick the gas and run like hell! No judge would convict me! :lmao:

Cant be as bad when davis pulled me over for not using a turn signal and a busted head light. Turn signals didint work. Well he started asking questions about why i had cologne on then it went straight to do i smoke, do i have weed in the car. While hes standing in the middle of hollywood/leonardtown road with one hand on his gun, i was waiting for a car to come. He let me go with a warning. LOL

That when you get lit up by the police you must stop immediately where you are, or can you pull out of traffic to a safe place?

Common sense dictates that you pull over to the safest area that would not disrupt traffic. If you are worried about a negative reaction from the officer, roll your window down and point to where you are going. If the officer is upset upon approaching you, just tell him that you wanted to ensure your vehicles were out of traffic for his safety.

As said it's all about common sense. When experiencing something like this what I have done is immediately turn on my emergency flashers and either continued into a parking area or slowly moved over to the shoulder when clear. With the emergency blinkers on the cop knew I had seen his lights and gave me no grief. He actually ended up giving me a warning for this consideration and commented that if more people did this he wouldn't be left out in the middle of the road or blocking traffic.

Part of me would do the same... My friend was pulled over and it was very late at night and he was also cited for evading law enforcement, fleeing the scene of a crime and resisting arrest when he waited until he was at a 7-11 parking lot instead of pulling over on a one-lane road in bumfuk nowhere.

Just possible that the car he was stopped behind my have broken down and he was waiting for a tow truck to come and while waiting was catching up on his paperwork.
