I was speeding down 301 in Caroline County in VA on Thanksgiving Day last year...trying to get to NC before they ate all the food...and I passed a cop sitting in the median. I knew he saw me, and immediately slowed down (not that it did any good). He pulled out and followed me for a 1/4 mile before turning on his lights...wanted to wait until there was a place to pull over. I thought maybe he just wanted to give me a scare...but no. The jerk gave me a ticket. I saw about 25 cop cars that had pulled people over. It was a flippin holiday. Can't they have some consideration?

People die in horrific speed related crashes on holidays too, probably at a greater rate than a regular day. :shrug:
