Is she appropriately...

What do you think, is she appropriately dressed to attend church on Christmas day? She is my husband's niece and was joining us for Christmas Mass and dinner - I asked her to change her shirt. This has caused some in-law problems.

Picture removed.

No, She is appropriately dressed for a swimming pool. We actually announce no shoulders, halter tops, midriffs, etc. Not appropriate.

Yes, you are accepting all people, but show respect to those that are there.

Your inlaws are egging her on if they don't back you up.

She looks like a skank.

You should have cut her head out of the photo before posting in a public forum.

Not a very appropriate church shirt, though.

A little too much boobage showing for church and dinner. Bra straps and tits hanging out is really disrespectful and tacky at church and around the family table. She looks like she would fit in fine at the local tavern in that outfit though. If she was going to be at your house and at your table I think it's ok to ask her to change shirts. If she wants to look tarty going to church... well that's hard to enforce.

Posting her picture over the internet probably isn't going to do much to help the in-law problem either.

that's a big :nono:
it sucks that is causing in-law probs:duel:

My husband was told that I intimidated and embarrassed her by asking her to change. I asked her in private one-on-one if she could please change her shirt before we went to church because I didn’t think it was appropriate. I didn't think that this simple request would create her to have a melt down. The halter top wasn't for easy access for the baby because she bottle feeding.
