Is this a Christian Only Section?

Just wondered? Seems that every thread in here is totally Christian based.

I wondered if there is anyone out there who was interested in discussing "other / older" spiritual directions.

Just thought I'd ask. Thanks

you'll quickly notice that the majority of those who dwell here are very much of the "christianity is the one true religion" mindset.

But i'm up for an open discussion. anything in particular?

Isn't that the basis of Christianity itself?

That's because the majority of the religious people on this forum are Christians.

There are a couple of Buddhists, several Jewish people and even a Wiccan. They occasonally post but don't get a lot of response because, frankly, there aren't that many of them to get a conversation going.

Strange how many say what Christianity is without being Christian. Christianity is all inclusive.
John 3:16

16"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
"whoever believes in Him" is completely open.

So, your interpretation is that there is only one religion under many different names.

Absolutely not. But hey, don't let me try to stop you and mid from skipping merrily down the wide highway.

Choose wisely is a line that is good advise.

Then be more clear on your stance.........your quote says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

So, as long as the religion believes in GOD, it's all the same.

I knew about the Wiccan, but I didn't know about the others.

it is the very narrow minded, selfcentered veiw of many religions.

Why is it narrow minded?

If someone believes that they are correct about something, how can it be considered narrow minded to believe that conversely everything else is wrong. In fact, how can anyone with a functioning brain conclude anything else. The atheists in here also believe that they are correct, and therefore Christians are wrong. Is it narrow minded for them to believe so?

If I didn't believe that Christianity was the correct choice - the ONLY correct choice - I would have chosen something else.

Is it narrow minded to say that 5+5=10 ... AND ONLY 10.

Its narrow minded because there are BILLIONS of people who don't belive the way you do, therefore there is a chance(most likely an equal chance) that you, they, or everyone is wrong.

faith is a lot different than addition. There is no way to prove the major tennets of religion. but we can show fatucally many many things in science. Still, as a scientist, if billions of people held a contary scientific opinion about something, then yes, it would be narrowminded to consider your answer the only true one.

Just a ¿ whats the first commandment of the 10 commandments (I believe you can look in Exodus XX) ?
You know where it is, so why didn't you quote it? I usually quote the scripture I reference. But I'll save you the work.
Exodus 20:2-3

2"I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

3"You shall have no other gods before Me.
So you are going to counter that Jesus is not God, but I will counter that Jesus is God as He said that He is the Father. So when you worship Jesus you worship the Father.
