I think you would have a hard time re-homing him. Is his name really Tater? Too cute.He is so SWEET! My 10 pound shih tzu doesn't like him. He bullies himIt's not funny, but the boxer just lets him bully him around. The boxer actually goes and gets toys and brings to the shih tzu, then the shih tzu takes them and guards them from the boxer, when he gets close enough, the shih tzu bites his ears. The little dog has issues. Major jealous dog. The boxer will lay on the floor so the shih tzu can attack him.
and the dummy lets him! I think he's laughing at him.

why would you think that????
I dont think she will have a hard time rehoming him... not at all.
He is a very social dog...that gets along with kids and dogs.
Because she said she LOVED the Dog, and speaks of him like he's her Baby..that's why!![]()

yeah getting along with other dogs is a huge plus
... it's rough keeping 2 dominant dogs apart so they won't fight![]()
I wasn't trying to be harsh in Post # 22. I just meant that I knew you would have a hard time letting him go. Sorry if I came out to sound that way.that's not the problem, the boxer isn't dominant, the little dog is.
I do love the dog, very much. My son and I both cried at the thought. But I want to do the right thing, and if finding him a new home is the right thing, then that's what we have to do. My son's living arrangements don't allow him to have a dog, and my dog doesn't like him.I can't give up my dog to keep his dog either.
I don't think I'll have a hard time finding him a home since he's not a problem dog and he is beautiful, it's just finding the perfect home. I love him enough to not send him just anywhere. I would love to have an "open adoption" where we could still visit him once in awhile. He is one of my babies.
If I was lucky enough to be able to adopt another dog (Hub won't let me), I would be all for Open Adoption, and would give previous Owner the rights to take the pup on a sleep-over if they wanted.I am all for open adoptions because I think that is a great thing if the adopter is open to it also (I would hope most would be). I do my best to talk adopters into being open to at least sending us updates/pictures that we can share with the prior owner if they wish to get updates.
One step further would be if the adopter would allow the former owner to visit the critter (most that relinquish critters don't ask for this).

I used to think I had 2 boxer pups. Now I realize I have 2 overgrown bed hogs
they look so comfy ......
Those are beautiful bed hogs Kdenise. Hubby and I were on our couch last night and both of the cockers came up with us. I asked him where the new dog would lay....he pointed to the love seat and said..I'll sit there! I know we will somehow end up with the 2 of us and 3 dogs on our couch each night before bed. Good excuse for the bigger couch I have been wanting!
Them is some BIG Bed BUGS you have thereKDENISE!!I used to think I had 2 boxer pups. Now I realize I have 2 overgrown bed hogs
