So Panda finally laid down at 2:30 am (after we had a long busy day lol....) and had this filly.............what color do you think she will be...momma is a black and white overo and daddy was perlino..... We have not named her yet..

Wow! She is adorable!!!!!!! Definately a palomino overo, and that is really coool! ~ She sounds like she is doing great! Congrats! Now, if you want a buckskin guarenteed, the sire has to be a perlino, homozygous for black and agouti. Since the mare had a paly, you know she is not homozygous for either color, so the sire has to bring it. Again, I think the Paly overo is a stunning color combo, I like that even better than a buck overo! Awesome!

Oh, and with the sabino gene...that will be tough to see without pictures of her with a dry coat to see how jagged the edges of the white are and how it intersperses with the coat. And does she have a roan look anywhere on her body. At this point I am not sure it matters because she is about as perfect as you can get!
