... 'The Butler' to 'get a life'

LOS ANGELES – When Jane Fonda was cast as former First Lady Nancy Reagan in Lee Daniels’ forthcoming film “The Butler,” some Reagan fans were not pleased. Now, with the biographical due to hit theaters in October, a movement to boycott the movie is gaining some momentum.

Larry Reyes, a Navy veteran and founder of the “Boycott Hanoi Jane Playing Nancy Reagan” Facebook page has been particularly vocal about the casting decision, given Fonda’s past frolicking with the enemy during the Vietnam War.

I didn't see this posted, but I've been catching parts of it on TV. Not even sure how she got this part.

She got the part because she is a raving liberal and Hollywood loves to piss off conservatives. What better way but to have a traitor portray one of America's greatest first ladies.

Personally, Hanoi Jane can go eff her self and I will gladly rejoice when she becomes room temperature.

She got the part because she is one hell of an actress ,who did something really stupid over 40 years ago.

She is one hell of an actress,
I agree. very convincing in her roles.

but, you consider what amounts to treason as just something really stupid?

In 30 years, if Bin Laden were still around, would you consider what he did as only just really stupid and let him slide?

Ya gotta love the irony in this....the people who loved Reagan won't go see this movie because of this horrible woman, so the people who hate Reagan will have to support the movie. :killingme

And just a few weeks ago she was whining about her "unforgivable mistake"

I knew that it had to be due to her being cast in this part. Obviously they were empty words

Sorry, what she did wasn't stupid, it was treason. Jumping off your roof into your pool is stupid, aiding and abiding the enemy is treason.

The only reason why she is relevant is her last name and who she married. As far as her acting skills, I've seen better acting in Power Ranger movies.

I fondly (ahem) remember the Hanoi Jane "targets" in the urinals at various establishments that catered to the military types, back in the day.

I don't like what she did , actually I don't like what a lot of people did during that war and I could consider a lot of them traitors ,LBJ being one of them. Yeah my number was pulled and as the only child out of seven that could be drafted I wasn't happy .I look back now and actually want to thank some of those anti war protesters I really believe they did some good back then. I'm not a super fan of Jane never really have been but I do think she has done some good acting.

Jane Fonda was surely a traitor, not to be compared with a mere war protester. But mostly she was a moron bimbo with delusions of intellect and self-importance. Not unlike celebretards these days.

I laughed out loud at the notion that she is a "hell of an actress". She certainly got that role, not because of any skill on her part, but because it's a slap in the face to conservatives having this idiotic Commie loving aerobics princess portraying the wife of the conservative standard-bearer.

Perhaps they'll have Sean Penn playing Ronnie.

Agree 100% with the Jane Fonda was surely a traitor, not to be compared with a mere war protester. She shunned America totally.
