A theory I have is that when you just say Jesus Christ it's more offensive than saying Jesus H. Christ.... when you have something separating the Jesus from the Christ it's almost disassociation as to not offend
So I can continue saying Jesus F. Christ without offending people?![]()
I'd have to believe in him to know that.is he related to Jesus H. Christ??![]()

Can you stop harassing women via PM's? Thanks!
Thanks. Thanks a lot. The next time I'm at somebody's funeral, when they get to this part, and I burst out laughing, I'm gonna say that it was all your fault.![]()
This is what I was thinking. I'll be sitting in church or at some serious kind of ceremony and have to stifle myself! And then I'll get my butt kicked!
What does the H stand for? I never got that.![]()
Many possible explanations for it Vrai but whatever the case, it's not a name or phrase that you want to use disrespectfully. I've never heard JHC used respectfully when it was used. What does the H stand for? I never got that.![]()

It may have come from the Greek spelling of Jesus which was shortened to "iota-eta-sigma" or IHC in English. The "H" could have come from that.
The Bible gives NO middle name for Jesus and it never refers to Him as JHC, so no person should either.
