Do Congressional investigations EVER accomplish anything?
Killary was dead to rights - but Comey basically said yeah she's guilty but so what, no one would prosecute her for it.
I think what does bother me is, they could make it plain to the world that Biden - in ADDITION to being a doddering senile fool who can't find his ass with both hands - and I am being generous - they could find him the most corrupt politician in recent history, peddling influence for millions -
And his party will just - shrug. And the Dem voters will ignore it. HELL they just elected Biden Lite in PA. They don't care if he's a blithering idiot. He has the "D".
That is why I gave up on Trey Gowdy...all noise and no results.

Jan 6 committee and its predecessors - the impeachment investigations and the myriad of investigations had one purpose - to GET Trump. They were not investigating crime - they were fishing for one. Ever notice that the Ukraine call impeachment stuff began the DAY AFTER the Mueller hearings ended?

What you're missing is that Gowdy was given that role specifically to make it go away. He was on the Intelligence Committee and knew precisely why (a) Benghazi was a non-story; and (b) He knew precisely why no one could stand up in Congress and state exactly what was going on there - specifically that we we arming folks not very friendly to the U.S. I doubt anyone besides Gowdy could have handled it with the deft and aplomb that was required.

But think about this.
Republicans have jumped on this with both feet right now.
If it blows up in their face or they don't carry it out aggressively, it will show us exactly what to expect for the next 2 years. A failure here would mean a failed and crippled House for the next 2 years.
Wash. Rinse. Repeat. Sadly.....
