Judge upholds CT gun laws

Maybe I can put this in a way that some people commenting on this thread will be able to understand. It will probably be offensive so be warned.

Say that certain people on here like to suck on a penis. Nothing wrong with that, they're not hurting anyone.

But then one day the state of Maryland determines it's a health hazard to suck on a penis over a certain length. They have determined that people have injured their jaws and in some cases suffocated to death.

So, because it's going to make everyone safer, Maryland determined that you cannot suck on a penis over 4inches long. Unless you go down to the police station or hospital and demonstrate proficiency and register yourself as someone who is able to handle a larger penis. If you are caught, you are now a felon.

Now, no rights have been infringed upon, you can still suck a penis, it just has to be 4 inches and under unless you want to put your name on a list.

So on one day it was perfectly fine to suck on a penis any length but on another day, it's not. But it's going to make everyone safer, whether you suck penis or not.

Very eloquent ,that must be something you know how to do because you sure seem to know a lot about sucking a penis .

And you know nothing about constitutional rights; except that you believe they aren't really rights, they're just a bunch of suggestions that certain people (like you) can tell every American how they can and can't exercise those rights.

I seem to detect a little underlying frustration here? Are you worried that something like this may actually happen?

Nothing wrong with that, I don't judge. You should be happy that your rights aren't being infringed upon and I'm sure you won't have any problem registering your throat with the authorities.

Or maybe you will demonstrate your own form of civil disobedience and not?? Way to go you patriot!!!!!!

I've found that some people really don't seem to care about whether someone else's rights are infringed upon but when it's something that they care about, all of a sudden they're outraged.

You just have to figure out the way to present it to them in a way that will impact them.

First rocky if it didn't ban guns all guns then it is not infringing on any rights or anything DA .

By that argument as long as not all abortions are banned then a woman's right to choose is upheld.

I know about constitutional rights. I also know those on the supreme court and in other courts are much more scholarly about laws than you or I am. They have decided there can be some regulation on firearms. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it is wrong.

I don't think there is any one amongst us that want people convicted of murders and people found to be insane to be carrying guns. After all they are part of EVERY AMERICAN.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Infringe----2.encroach on somebody's rights or property: to take over land, rights, privileges, or activities that belong to somebody else, especially in a minor or gradual way

Now here is what the Judge said.-----------------
"While the act burdens the plaintiffs' Second Amendment rights, it is substantially related to the important governmental interest of public safety and crime control,"

Now I am no genius, but if you burden my rights you are infringing on my rights
This Judge needs to go back to school. The 2nd. Amendment does not mention you can infringe on my rights, just because some dildo's in a legislature think it will improve public safety.

This law was not passed to improve public safety it was passed in an attempt to further an anti-gun agenda using a terrible tragedy as leverage.

I have a question for you. Should people who are diagnosed schizophrenics, mentally retarded, and those who are convicted of armed robbery be able to buy firearms?

Why do you ask stupid questions that you already know the answers to.
No sane person wants felons to own guns, and contrary to liberal beliefs we don't want them voting either.
A few years back some crazed person decided that these people with mental problems should be on the street instead of in institutions.
Now we have the homeless and the nuts running loose.

So now I have answered and you will come up with some liberal horse dung about how we take the rights from those people but we don't feel we should lose ours.
That is exactly how I feel and I make no excuses for it.
When some one is convicted of a felony that person only has the right to 3 squares and a cot.
And IMO a safe environment to serve out his time.
If I were in charge of prisoners they would behave or find themselves in solitary until their time was served.

Next you will feed me this crap about how I want everyone to own a machine gun.
That's another ploy used by the anti-gun paranoids. It is also BS, but then there is no law against owning a machine gun if you do not mind paying the Government an atrocious tax to own one.

I also do not believe that a person without a picture ID should be allowed to vote and I believe if you cannot speak and read English the Government should not print forms for you and get interpreters for you. Get your own interpreter or learn to speak English if you live in this country.

We existed as a country a long time and many people came and lived here, fought for this country, and died for it, and they didn't ask that we learn their language, they learned ours, because they wanted to be Americans..

Now you can go on with your rant I have had mine.

Let me ask you this... If one kid decided to use his pencil to stab someone, do you take away everyone's pencil for fear that all of them might stab someone?

First, I wouldn't presume to answer your question, just as you shouldn't presume to know what my response is.

You want government to pass regulations on firearms, but when you don't like the regulations you say it's unconstitutional. Which is it? Should they infringe or not? You brought it up and provided the definition.

Where did I ever say you wanted everyone to own a machine gun? Where are you reading this? You seem to be making a lot of incorrect assumptions.

You should pay attention to what is said rather than trying to figure out what someone wants to say. You are not very good at forming conclusions.

No. Is someone taking everyones guns away? I thought the District V. Heller and Chicago V. McDonald results said the opposite of what you are saying. I don't think you know what you are talking about.

So this leads to… if every gun were banned except bb guns, our rights are still intact. Ridiculous!

It’s not about what you’re taking away, it’s about punishing an entire society for an extreme few; especially when it comes to constitutionally defined rights. I have served my country with honors and have absolutely no criminal record or any other blemish that should prevent me from owning a grenade launcher or a Browning M2, and I’m being told by my government that I can’t be trusted with these weapons. Can you explain why? Don’t give me the old “what do you need with that kind of weapon”. What I own and use with care and respect and will harm no one with should no one’s business; especially the government that has been charged with “shall not be infringed”. But I have been lumped in with all our criminals, mentally insane, etc…

Since I don’t know what I’m talking about, and you know so much, explain to me why I have been lumped in with those that can’t be trusted (the extreme minority in this country) with these banned weapons, magazines, bullets, etc…? And while you're at it, explain how any of these gun control laws have been effective to begin with?

Since you have mis-represented what I have said, let me ask you a few questions so I don't do the same.

So you come on here and rant and rave about constitutional protections.

I, admittedly don't know your views so let me ask.

Do you think it is unconstitutional to have a law where someone who is mentally ill can't posses a firearm? Do you think it is unconstitutional where a convicted violent felonious criminal can't posses a firearm? Do you think it's unconstitutional to pass a law which restricts me from buying multiple guns and giving them to convicted criminals.

That is the aggravating part. We are guilty of something, they just haven't figured out what. F em, I dropped a marker in the Potomac River where I stashed my guns.
