No if they get caught before the race they can and often DO face penalties. So now I guess ALL penalties of ponts, regardless of why, counts on SOMD too!

If they are caught after the race, then they benefited from the illegal part. I'm not talking "actions detrimental to NASCAR" or whatever they call normal pushing the limits. If they get caught before the race, NASCAR pulls the part and they race with standard parts. This was a case of flat out cheating with the lightweight rods.

Flat out cheating is done by Chad Knaus . JGR had NO knowledge of under weight rod INSIDE engine from what I have read & heard . TDR has accepted ALL blame . Coach Gibbs is a God fearing man and not a cheater nor liar
