Ever watch a deaf dog try to return to his owner in complete darkness? He's blind I tell ya! :lmao:

Point is, he's old, cranky, falling apart, and parts are not readily available.

one day the dark will end
Ten pages of senseless postings...and nothing about the so called "cat that needs a home"

So...is there a cat or not?

This is the funniest stuff I have read here in a long while!!!:killingme

Help with a cat

I found a cat in my neighborhood. Grey tabby unaltered male, has claws and a good temper. He gets along fine with my dog but I was only gonna keep him long enough to find him a new home. He plays and has fun, but acts skittish sometimes. I tried every resource I can think of outside of the shovel idea. If you can help feel free to message me.

I think "moving" is just a convenient way for people to "off" the pets they don't want. They should just be the cold-hearted people they REALLY are and march into the shelter and relinquish the unloved pet. Either the pet will find a loving home or be put down. Anything has to be better that being with people who don't care for them? Those are some of the same people who later down the road get another pet .... to one day abandon.

I know a lady at work who has had a number of pets, none of which she kept long term. Always got rid of it for one reason or another (last time it was that she was "moving"). I would NEVER adopt an animal out to her.

15 YO dog. Blind. Incontinent. Likely arthritic.

Have to give it up because they have to move? I've moved 6 times in 12 years and NEVER gave my dogs up.... and I RENT.

They have to give the dog up because they don't want to put in the effort to keep it. Why? Because it is blind and craps all over the house, and is showing signs of instability (grumpy ), and it's no longer something they wish to put effort into.

THAT is cold.

I agree - sometimes it takes a while to find a home though. The ones I placed each took MONTHS to find a home, but so far they are still in their homes and it's working out.

Hope your kitty finds a new home. I'm sure things will work out.

Im pretty sure she meant that people SAY they are moving to rid themselves of a pet to people or a rescue..not that they actually MOVE to rid themselves of a pet. :killingme
