Keller Commuter Buses

I am a regular on the Keller commuter buses. It's been a fun last 7 days riding these buses.

First, last Friday the bus is cruising along through the Hollywood area and gets stopped by a cop. I didnt find out the exact reason, but I am assuming the driver was speeding. These buses drive pretty fast.

Then this morning to add to the fun, the bus I am on hits the back of a car. This happened in PG County, as we were coming to a stop at a stop light. No one was injured as far as I know. The cops came and they had to bring out a different bus for us to board.

IMO the service these buses provided isnt all that great.

Anyone else have any opinion on the Keller Commuter Buses.

That is all.

Were you on the one that was involved in the MVA by Sheehy Ford? Sorry about that. :blushing:

I have no comment on the service they provide because I don't use them but I do know they drive like a bunch of jerks! ..... Nothing else to add.

I don't mind the commuter buses - what I do mind are all the NEW people that don't have any bus etiquette.

We take pride in our training program. And we get extra credit for taking the defensive driving course more than once. :drama:

I used to ride with keller and I love it. I liked the drivers that drove "fast" rather than the ones that did 30 miles an hour. Accidents happen whether you are in a bus or car.

:yeahthat: There's nothing more soothing than sitting with someone who has you wedged into the window because they've brought half of their house with them (or their butt is just THAT big), and the people sitting in the front of the bus who feel that the people in the back of the bus really do care what they did last night...

We stopped riding and I'm not sure I could do it again on a regular basis. The drivers on the 902 line are horrible..there are about 2 that I trust. The rest drive too fast, are rude and unpleasant.

I don't care to listen to personal calls, loud headphones, etc. It seemed as though the people were getting more rude with each passing week and the arugments between riders were escalating.

100 percent agree. I really dont have a problem with any of the drivers. There was one that use to drive for keller many many years ago when I first started riding and I was so glad when he got fired, he was the biggest jerk. He was the last driver, and would see people running for the bus and would take off.

I really feel sorry for the bus drivers, there are several "car" drivers that refuse to let them in, sometimes they have to drive like a jerk becuase all passanger cars/trucks act like jerks to them.

:yeahthat: Also, there's nothing more annoying than being on a packed bus wedged into the window and after the first stop and half the bus becomes empty and the person next to you doesn't move to one of the open seats! Like I'm enjoying sitting next to you so much - NOT.

I sooooo don't miss riding the bus!!!! It used to irritate me to no end, when you'd get to Waldorf and the person wedging you into the window wouldn't get up and move. :banghead:

I've been riding Joe's bus (4:55 am) - people are real quite and most sleep all the way in. We do have a couple paper readers but they always sit together. I usually get to my desk by 6:25 am, take an long lunch and still leave by 4 at the latest.

Yeah....especially when they cut the cars off getting off of Suitland Parkway onto 4..or when they are going out 11th Street and cut off the cars that have been waiting their turn in line...or when they run the red light..or..

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, you know him!!!! Yep that would be him, he fit the name perfectly. I called on him so many times. I usually dont hate, but I really really really hated him when he drove the last run. I loved it when Jimmy ran it. Do you know Ron last name is long and different -- I wondered if he still drove. I used to ride with him in the evenings he started his pick up i thin around 4 -- I always caught him at 415 at 21st and L -- He was a good driver!
