So listening but not watching to the public officials, which seemed far more a huge name drop festival than anything else, where they formed a circle jerking each others stuff to while announcing how proud they were of the next person in line, I was struck by one in particular. The NTSB lady sounded like she has spent a lot of time in the Kamala Harris School of Public Speaking.

It’s part of the Interstate system and per statues is vital federal infrastructure. The USG will certainly go after the insurance carrier, but damage likely far more than insurance or total value of the insurance company and ship owner/operator company.

Time will tell how much they will recover.

There are MANY to be sued on this one, the dinks that built it, the lessee, Singapore, the ins companies themselves....... deeper pockets than a new bridge will cost. Tip of the iceberg

Actually ANYONE remotely attuned would know there were multi MULTI billions in ownership and liability. Who could they sluff it off on, Port Of Baltimore for not having rubber bridges or the $1600 dollar a month Indian snipe below decks running the engine? This one is on the fat cats.
