Key West,, anyone????

In My Opinion
Ok, so here is the deal,
Got a friend that is turning 50 in about a year, he has always wanted to visit key west but never had the money to blow on it.

So, I and another person are going to fly down to Key West in May or so and set up a week of whatever for him. When the time comes, we will all drag our trailers down and pay his week of Key West for him.

Ive never been there, so I need Ideas. He likes to fish, drink, women, drink, off road, drink etc...
What do we do there, what are the must see places.
If we are spending that kind of cash, I want to make sure he enjoys the hell out of the top of the hill that he is hitting.
I figure a couple days left open for his choice, but other things that need reservations will need to be done in advance of him knowing they will be done.

Any Ideas or comments on some things that are "must do" while there would be appreciated.

best part of this is that it gives me 2 trips to Key west,, one to plan, one to party.

Well, you're going to the right place

"Must see" depends on what you like. But I would totally go up the Keys and not just stay in Key West - the uppers are wonderful, too, but a different atmosphere. Key West is more party oriented, whereas the upper Keys are more laid back.

My friend is turning 50 next year and a bunch of us are going away with her once she decides what she wants to do. The Keys are towards the top of her list.

Is she single?
hes poor because he is paying off 250 acres in western maryland that overlooks Deep creek lake, has a 3000 sq ft "cabin" with 3, yes three garages.
Hes been single since his wife ran off with some inbred up the hill about 14 years ago.

once all his stuff is paid off he will be fairly well to do... in about another 8 years.

We could plan at the same time and have them accidentally meet.

Im sorry I lied.
He has 242 acres.

He must be pretty bad if his wife left him for an inbred hillbilly.

I went on a blind date once with a guy who confided that his wife had left him for another woman. I was like, hmmm....you're such a dick that you turned your wife lesbo. No thanks.

Anyway, we don't like poor guys. We're marrying for money next time around. Check back in 8 years.

They're out to get us
You won't find anywhere to off road in Key West.

The rest of what you're looking for can be found by wandering the northern half of Duval street.

PS: If you go to Irish Kevin's, tell them you're from New York. You can thank me later.

she ran off because he was always working.
he has that property, and a house in Howard county.

on paper he is pretty close to 3 million just in property. but he leveraged himself to the hilt.

What he does is goes to various business type concerns that are failing, he turns them around for a fee, then he moves on, but when he goes he also gets a small percentage of profits over a certain figure that the company makes for the next five years after his leaving.

most of his turn arounds are anywhere from 3 to 5 years depending on how bad the business has been run down before he gets there.

Is he really old? With no dependents? And intends to die soon?

umm, no, yes, no

The yes means he has possibilities. And the nos aren't necessarily deal breakers.

Would he let his beloved live in the Deep Creek house while he stays at the Howard County place? And does the Deep Creek house have high speed wireless?

 S'okay, I don't want to be stuck in some cabin in the mountains. Especially in the winter! :jameo:

Really??

Seriously???

I can't imagine anyplace better than a cabin in the mountains in winter.

Especially with a rich hubby who's paying for it, and is old and will be dying soon, without dependents except for me. And lives in Howard County.
