Does anyone know where to find one in St.Mary's? We would like one to use tonight if possible. I looked at Target and WalMart on-line and no go. Just wondering if anyone has seen one around?

check Quality Street Kitchen and Catering......... maybe check their website first for their hours, they might be closed on Monday. I saw some KA things in there the other day, I think they had the meat grinder.

You mean the attachment for the stand mixer? They carry it at Kohl's and Macy's. May have it at JC Penny's.

Lowes carries Kitchen Aid mixers. Might have that attachment as well. They list it online.

I just called Lowe's abou 10 mins ago and was told they do not carry attachments though KNOW I have seen them there before so DH is stillgoing to check. Never know if the person knows for sure or is just to lazy to go check if they have it.

When you get it, give a report on performance please. I have the mixer and I have stand alone meet grinder, but if the kitchen aide attachement works better, I will use that when processing deer in the fall.

I've used my grinder attachment a lot in the last 24 years. I make my own country and Italian sausage. I've also experimented with different sausages like cranberry walnut and apple pecan I've got lots of ideas for others just have to find the time to do it. Keep the pieces of meat no larger than an inch in diameter and keep them long rather than short, gristle doesn't do too well and neither does bone. I usually make 25 lbs at a time and I've never had a problem with anything. I love it and you will too.

I wouldn't tear up my kitchen aid for deer meat. Its too hard on the machine, boggs it down and burns up the motor. Butcher on St. Johns road Mr. Connelly ground up 75 pounds for me for $10 a few years back. was well worth the time and mess saving.
