I could be wrong, BUT, I believe the statement of looking at the big picture doesn't refer to a dog or puppy or how big it will get, but where the dog/pup comes from in the whole scheme of pet overpopulation and BYB's...and perpetuating that problem by buying from a puppy mill, instead of buying from a reputable breeder, rescuing from a shelter, and ending puppy mills by not utilizing them...

Yes I saw that. The post I made kind of just went along with a lot of the other posts from in the begining about getting a dog or a puppy.

Yeah, I wasn't specifically referring to the size/age of the animal...just saying that getting animals from the petstore perpetuates the existence of puppy mills....

Either way, there are so many homeless dogs AND cats at the shelters and rescue groups.

Update on Morgan!!! Her poop is no longer like soup. Thanks for all the advice. She ended up having a yeast infection in the ear canal and has a skin condition that they gave her shampoo and antibiotics for. And this vet doesn't seem to think she is pregnant cause she couldn't feel any pups. She's still not sure though so she gave her meds that would be safe just in case. She is picking up weight and settling down.
