My neighbor has one of their goldendoodles. He's enormous (tall) and very sweet. The doodle's are great dogs, sure but not at those prices for a mutt. Yeesh.

I do not consider the Doodle a "mutt." It was an intentional breeding to produce a Doodle.

Just for argument's sake...you want a dog that is crossbred. It's a mutt. Especially because you want an F-1B. Until the doodle is recognized by the AKC or some other legitimate breed organization, it'll be a crossbred.

Why do you want to argue?

Why can't that just be "your opinion."

My opinion is just that.....my opinion. Since I am the one currently looking for a Doodle, my opinion on the Doodle breed, whether it is recognized by the AKC or not, is what I care about.

Well, I put "for argument's sake" so it wouldn't offend you. A breed isn't a breed until you can get those dogs (for example) without having to use other breeds. I'm not trying to argue. I'm just pointing that out. And someone's going to have to change the name...because a doodle can be a lab/poodle or a golden/poodle. There's no genetic consistency.

Anyways, I hope you do find a dog soon. :huggy:
