Why do you say that? I think Catt raises a valid point.
A lot of times - not always, but a lot - a significant age difference is based on power. The older person being in the power position, and the younger person being the submissive. While this works with a 20 year old girl looking for Big Daddy, once that 20 year old gets to be 30 or 35, she no longer wants to play Little Girl and an adjustment must be made in the relationship.

I was agreeing with her. I know my relationship choice is probably not the smartest... especially considering where we both are in our lives in terms of retirement, children, family, etc. It probably won't last.

I've played both parts, and my opinion is: it all depends on the man. When I was 33 I dated a guy that was 55. This man could run circles around most 21 year old men, literally. My youngest daughters father is 8 years younger than me. I am 43 and he is 35. Age is just a number. It's not how old the person is, it's how well you connect in my opinion and at those ages we connect just fine. At 43 would I be happy with a man 20+ years older, probably not

I have no age considerations to my courtin. I have courted women who were younger and older. Momma don't approve of me courtin any woman who is more than a year or two older than me. She got that way when I courted Brenda the truck driver for a few weeks. she was 5 years older than me and momma said she was an old slut tryin to relive her youth, and since she knew her back then she said her youth was all ready all lived up and there weren't no need to relive that mess.
She was experienced and I was warned by momma. I would ride in the truck with her and it was fun blowin the air horns and stuff but I would never go into the sleeper part of the cab. She had real leapord skin on the walls, radio speakers and candles and stuff. She used to try to coax me back there but I wouldn't go. She always seemed to look at me like a peice of meat and not for the big brain I got. All the other truckers talked nice to her though. They all were real formal and caled her "Mistress Brenda"

The kids moved here in May because their Mom was arrested for beating her boyfriend... the woman is 40 years old... she should know better.
