Large Alligator caught, Killed in Calvert

I know coyote are around, just haven't seen or heard them personally. Borrowed a pair of night vision goggles once and spotted a red fox in the woods behind my house.

I read a couple years back on another forum of hunters in the SOMD area getting snap shots of them on gamecams since 2010 or so.

My besties brother lives down near Morgantown power plant, he harvests a few dozen a year.
The old man in the farm next to me harvests 80-120 a year. Im good for a few dozen on average the last few years. Not as much fun as turkey with a bow but much better than shooting a stupid deer.
Coyotes are sharp as a ghetto cat.... You miss and they learn....

I suspect that's what happened to my neighbor's cat (one of the flyers posted around town). We had a really bad t-storm and it bolted from it's house, never came back.

It's open season on those there coyotes, 365 days of the year. Kill 'em all. Only thing is you have to have a fur bearer permit. Apparently coyote fur is a thing.

What do you do with it after capture? It's sort of expensive to relocate something like that.

Maybe a excellent western winter pelt my fetch 70 bucks, eastern, not worth the trouble of skinning, fleshing, tanning, stretching ..... ain't worth the money. Out here we don't need any license to hunt coyotes on your own property.
