No need to sew when making a vest. Using the fabric glue on the 2 minor seams at the shoulders works just fine. To make it a smooth joint, take a small piece of the material (say 1" wide x length of seam) and use it as a backer for the seam and just butt the seam together over top w/ 1/2 the backer under each side of the seam. This method works just fine. We've made Cub Scout vests in this manner for years and Cub Scouts are going to be harder on the vest than a baby.I dont like to sew. But thanks anyway.
