I accidentally bit down on the inside of my cheer SUPER hard at lunch... I'm thinking I may pass on the whole lemon juice experiment for today

Long on assertions, short on factual data. Like this one.
Wheres the science on that?
Anybody here do the glass of pure lemon and water (no sugar) every morning thing? If so what are your thoughts on it?
Its supposed to be good to help cleanse the liver daily. Helping rid you of toxins. Before I pucker up and jump on another bandwagon I need a little 'real people' feedback. I mean, straight lemon is not on my 'yummy' list anywhere.
I dunno Spock. Smile please.

When I remember to buy them, I like to eat a lemon like an orange in the morning. Don't care whether it's good for me or not. Rough on the teeth and gums, though. It's an acid bath which can mess up the enamel on the teeth.
I take cholesterol medicine and I'm not supposed to eat grapefruit for some kind of liver reason. I wonder if that much lemon would fit into the same category.
Are you sure about that? I believe you can eat grapefruit, but not within a certain time frame, as in so many hours between the med and the grapefruit. At least that is what I have learned through my hub's cholesterol thing. But, now that he is running (and considered an ultra runner) all that is out the window, and he no longer has to take the med. Just FYI.

I love water with a spritz of lemon juice concentrate or a twist of lemon. Thing2 likes it, also.
We don't drink it for liver cleansing-we just like it. I don't drink a lot of sweet beverages & my only artificially sweetened drink I have is my diet coke, which is rouhly 1 a day.
Benefits drinking lemon water...so many articles about and people sharing how it helps them in different ways. Below is one of many reads. Anyway, have thought about trying but have never been good at sticking to anything. I do eat lemons whole occasionlly because I like them, which I have shared on this forum elsewhere.
11 Benefits of Lemon Water You Didn't Know About
All I know is, it can't hurt. Lemons are good for you.
I do that in the summer but I kick it up a notch with 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper and 1/2 tsp. salt mix and dip the lemon in the mixture the squeeze the lemon a bit and suck the juice. yum!!
Decided I'm going to try it and kinda look at it as helping my liver not work so hard. It can't hurt, may even have other benefits. Maybe there will be no noticeable difference, but that doesn't mean its doing nothing.
I just wanted to put this out there because I think it's neat and others might, too.
I received this as a gift a few years ago:
Infuse Water With Fruits and Herbs. ? ZingAnything.com
You put fruit and/or herbs in the bottom, it smashes them up a little, and then strains them into your water so you don't get any large lumps. I really love mine. It comes with a list lot of weird flavor combinations that I wouldn't have thought to try like watermelon and basil.
