And that is the problem with the Republican party (and the Democrats too) "nah what do they know, THIS is what the American people really think..."

Yep.

American people: This is what we really think...
Republican party: ... ... Nah.....

It's just amazing.

I don't really care about putting a Republican in the WH, but damn, the candidates from both parties we have running I wouldn't let go on a tour there.

He made a good case. You can either take note of what the Muslim guy said, or you can go, "Nah, what does he know - THIS is what Muslim guys really think..."

I'll take the latter.

I can't think of a time in history where we focused special attention to a certain religious group of people and it made the American people less wary of them.

I mean, think about it. We'd basically be telling people, "we're paying these folks attention because we think they're dangerous". Yet the American people would all the sudden be like, "Oh, that's cool. We trust our government and if they say you're cool, come on over, we're having a cookout".

With all due respect to the good gentlemen Bluebird and Gilligan, but...

Seriously? Uncle Teddy? Instead of Trump? :lmao:

No, Uncle John instead of Mr. Trump. John Kasich is the only PRESEDENTIAL candidate running. All others are either corrupt or way under qualified for the job. Not up to the task.

That was the point of this thread. It is vital that we get a Republican in the White House. Two things voters need to be looking at when they head off to vote in the primary. Who can beat Hillary (I don't believe Trump can) and who can run our country. For me it's John Kasich based on his experience and his grounded views on the issues. I think he'll be able to bring the democrats to the table for the good of our country.

Gee that's another way of saying you don't care if you put Hillary in the White House. That's a hell of a lot scarier than any of the Republicans running. I'm not anti-democrat, but I can't remember the last time they had a candidate I would consider voting for get the nod. I liked Jim Webb but his campaign was about as exciting as a geriatric slumber party.

Well, you said you could vote for Ted Nugent or Chuck Norris and in comparind Ted to Trump, I think Nugent is a bit more off the chain than Trump.

Kasich would get my vote if he were the nominee.

The majorities of sane American’s know and understand why we need a GOP President in the White House now more than ever. The problem is that the Republican Party is a mess and it's due mostly because of the rise of Donald Trump. We can't blame Donald Trump for this as it's we the people who put Trump and our party of choice in this position. By supporting Trump over more viable Presidential Candidates we're guaranteeing a win for the Democrats, presumably Hillary Clinton. Most of us voting for the Republican nominee will vote for Donald Trump if he wins the party's nomination, however I don't envision Trump building any bridges and getting the votes he'll need to win the White House. I'm supporting John Kasich as I have all along. He has the experience and the level headed attitude we need in a President and I believe he would do much better in a general election vs. Hillary Clinton and most importantly I believe he's the best person for the job... Most national polls show Donald Trump losing to Hillary by a substantial margin. Rubio's inexperience has really been showing lately during the debates and Ted Cruz is too far to the right to appeal to most voters. We, as a party need to wake up fast if we want to see a Republican in the White House next year and we're running out of time.

End of rant.

I have a better idea: let's get a conservative in the People's House.

Ah, you should listen to Rush Limbaugh's radio show. The other day he had Hispanics and Muslims - and women - calling his show to school him on why they were voting for Trump. Rush made the same claim, that they wouldn't vote for the guy who wants to send them home, etc, etc. Apparently his phones went crazy with people calling to tell him that that's not true.

One Muslim guy said that he was all in favor of more scrutiny being paid to his religion mates because it would go a long way toward alleviating the fear people feel toward normal non-jihad American Muslims such as himself.

You do realize that it was radio ???:doh::smack:

Yes, but I also said I would and will vote for Trump. I don't think he gives us the best chance of winning in November.

There's more than one majority?

Who knew?

Think out side the box. Majority of SANE American's, INSANE American's, dumb , smart you pick. The only majority that counts is the sane majority all other groups you want to classify people in to can all go to hell.

I agree with Rush. Not enough of the people you mentioned feel that way. We'll re-visit if he wins the nomination and loses in the general election, which he will. When we see how the different demographics break out I'll bet I'm right and by huge percentages. If I'm wrong I'll happily admit it and eat crow for Trumps entire term.
