oh I thought the consensus here was rott and shepherd? Although there are white shepherds. The white is why I think Bernese Mountain/Rottie X

stray1.jpg stray2.jpg stray3.jpg stray4.jpg Looks very similar to a puppy my friend was just trying to find a home for. They are 10 weeks also, They are not hers but someone she knows. This is what she said about the parents "beagle/Pomeranian and dad is hound mixed both parents are the size of a beagle" Will try to link to her pictures. There were 4 puppies total.

After seeing the underside of the dog (lots of white there, ok I'll get a pic and post it here), most folks (includes rescue people not on this forum) are convinced that this puppy is a Burnese Mountain/Rottweiler mix. I have not heard back from the rescue gal who said she probably had a home for the pup. I guess the couple are either still discussing it, or maybe have decided to not take her? In the meantime we are working with her to teach her separation of bed/food and potty space (she learned in 2 days to not potty on the side that her bed is on - only potty on the "grass"), so she's a very smart girl. She is quite the lively character and will grab the leash with her mouth and walk you, lol. As much as the people in my household like her (NO NO NO), she is going to be adopted/placed. We do not keep adoptable critters, period, only special cases. We have a new special senior case arriving tomorrow (can't wait).

If anyone is interested in meeting this little girl, please let me know. We will have her spayed and up-to-date on basic shots prior to her adoption. A fenced yard would be ideal, but is not mandatory if she will be walked regularly.

Those pictures seem to show a puppy that is as big is the one we have. With feet that big I bet they will grow to be bigger than they expect.

pit bull? LOL Her erect furry ears are a big sign that points to German Shepherd and ????? - not sure what other dog breeds have furry ears like that? The white on her underside could be shepherd, Mountain Dog or ????

I was trying to be funny. We label everything a pit bull these days...

I know - even the Animal Control officer that stopped by my place one day asked about my "American Bulldog Mix" - I said hey, I adopted him from YOUR shelter LOL.

He is usually ok with the cats, but yesterday he growled and snapped at one of the kitties that usually rubs on him and sleeps in the crate with him (door stays open, he uses it as his "bedroom". Hmmm so now I am checking the dog to see if he is ok. I didn't see if maybe the cat did the "lovey claws" thing and he got clawed? No clue what happened, but I will watch their interactions to see if I can figure out what is going on.

If I can manage to get this pup to sit still long enough, I'll get new pictures of her. She has some of THE hairiest ears I've seen on a dog. What dog breeds have especially furry ears inside? She has WAY more energy than I ever recall a puppy having, seriously.
