Thanks for the link RoseRed, and MMDad, THANKS SO MUCH! you mentioned "the greens on willows road"... is that the name of the apartment? I'm having a hard time coming up with anything like that...

RoseRed- I was sooo wrong..lol.. I was looking at "The Apartments at Wildewood" and they are 1,130/month for a 2 bedroom..Thats why i was like..? But anyways, Thanks, and I'll def. check that out... What does "bridge level" mean? I feel so ignorant asking all these questions...

I am in Georgia right now, but we are "transferring" from Mobile, Al.... My husband is in advancement school in yorktown Va, and all of our things are in storage right now.. Our apartment complex was condemned after Katrina and we were leaving soon anyway so the gov't came and moved our things into storage until he gets out of school, and i'm staying with family in georgia for another three weeks. Thanks for the info about Jet noise, because we are going to have a baby in July, and I'll need it to sleep when it can..lol.. Thanks soo much ya'll!

It was The Greens at Hilton Run. I don't know if they have a website.

Bridge level means second floor in some of these. The parking lot is uphill from the building, and there is a bridge from the second floor to the parking lot.

I understand the confusion. The apartments were just built last year, but the condos are much older. The condos are three stories tall. Bridge level means you are on the second floor. Top level you go up one flight and bottom level you go down one level. Since they are privately owned, there is no rental office to go to like you can for the apartments.

Coastie,

While your hubby is at Yorktown couldn't he cruise up here on a weekend and check the area out? He's only 3 - 3.5 hours away.

I wish he could... He doesnt have a car up there, and is kind of anti social..lol... I have our only vehicle here in Georgia with me. He would have to talk someone into taking him up there, and he doesnt like any of his class that much... Thanks though!

negative..he doesnt turn 21 until June, and most places will not rent a car to him at that age unless he has orders saying he needs to go NOW... :(

A lot of the Navy guys here actually buy. You can get a no down VA loan and get a decent place within BAH. When it's time to move you have equity. You might consider a short term lease and find a townhouse or condo to buy.

I did a quick search but didn't find any. I have lived in the condos for almost 2 years and am happy.
