My 3 month old Voyager crapped out on me today. Thought I would post this as a warning. They don't give you a new one either, it's a "certified" refurbished one!" If this one craps out on me I am going to throw it at the guy that said that to me!

How did that happened?

My husband and I have LG Voyager. They both are almost 2 months old.

Beats the heck out of me, I flipped it open to text my son and the screen was covered in different colored lines. So I turned it off, took the battery off, counted 30 seconds put the battery back on and fired it back on. Got the same screen, did it a couple more times, still :dead: So I called Verizon Wireless, and THANK GOD I had purchased the warranty thing cause they would have not replaced it if I hadn't. I would have been one HOT BIATCH too cause I paid full price for this thing! :faint:

Dare, baby. :yay:

Bizarre as it sounds my girlfriends daughters died today too, it also is 3 months old. It is a razor. But funny how they both died at 3 months old. She also had the warranty thing, so they replaced hers too. We are in two totally different states. I think that is just weird, watch that Dare!

Did you get it wet or anything like that?

We bought insurance plan, so we could get brand new if our phones break. We have kids, so we knew we will need the insurance. That's another reason why I didn't get DARE. My kids will break DARE and push all wrong buttons to throw me off if they get ahold of the cell phones.

If you get it wet I doubt they will cover it, cause that is the first thing they had me check. There is a little dot under the battery. It is white with pink x's on it. If the x's are gone you got it wet! That is the only thing they don't cover as far as I know.

Really? That's seem so wrong especially if you paid insurance on it every month in the phone bill to cover the extra package that the warranty doesn't covered. That's why we purchased the insurance for just in case the kids got wrong idea and dropped the phones in water.

You can call Verizon Wireless but I am almost positive they don't cover it if you get it wet! There number is, 1-800-922-0204. They may have something you can add on for a little more for that, like accidental coverage.

That's what we have. Insurance package. It's $10.00 a month for the whole insurance package on two cell phones.

Did you get your phones at BJ's? That's where we got our phones. Maybe having the membership at BJ's do lower the fees/rates on the phones, insurances, etc.

I'm not calling through the relay service. They will put me on hold because they don't feel like making phone calls and interpreting for me. I will have to wait until my husband is awake to make the phone call for me.

Oh no, they didn't have the Voyager when I went and asked for one, they were out of them. I am getting civil servant discount though so that helps. Probably makes up for there xtra $$$.

I had the sprint version of that phone....and that happened to me, too....the guy at the sprint store said that the wire in the flip part of it broke and that's what cause the "meltdown"....18 yr old had a "military spec"(one that is suppose to stand up to anything ) and his did the same thing about 2 weeks later

Sounds like you all might want to see if there might be a class action law suit starting up.

Gonna have to include my moms phone in there, also

The new phone I have is crap, too(Motorola Q9c)....I've had to hard reset it 3 times now(since May) and I've gone thru 4 bluetooths :ohwell:

I am seriously not having any luck with these phones

Kinda why I stay with the simple phones. Too many devices not field proven. I don't have a need for anything other than a phone, but I do use the MP3 player in mine. VZ8600. Had it for almost 2 years now.

I just got mine yesterday. I bought the insurance just in case I drop this one in the toilet like I did the last phone.

I have a Motorola Razr, as does my 26 year old son and 24 year old daughter. Both my daughter and I have had our Razr cell phones about 2 years, while my son has had his about a year and 1/2.

My daughter had an issue with her phone about 7 months ago and I told her to go to the Verizon store here in Waldorf. They told her that there had been some issues with the Razr phones but were able to correct her issue by simply reprograming it. The bad this is she lost all the ringtones she had set up.

I've spoken to a few people that work for Verizom Wireless in one capacity or another since then and they all agreed that the Razr has had issues. I'm just glad I haven't had these issues, and neither has my son.

I will say that I've been with Verizon since back when they had the old bag phones. I then graduated to the Motorola "brick" phone that looked like a small walkie-talkie. :lmao:

Because I've been with them so long, I more or less get treated very well when I call for any reason.
