I have a Motorola Razr, as does my 26 year old son and 24 year old daughter. Both my daughter and I have had our Razr cell phones about 2 years, while my son has had his about a year and 1/2.

My daughter had an issue with her phone about 7 months ago and I told her to go to the Verizon store here in Waldorf. They told her that there had been some issues with the Razr phones but were able to correct her issue by simply reprograming it. The bad this is she lost all the ringtones she had set up.

I've spoken to a few people that work for Verizom Wireless in one capacity or another since then and they all agreed that the Razr has had issues. I'm just glad I haven't had these issues, and neither has my son.

I will say that I've been with Verizon since back when they had the old bag phones. I then graduated to the Motorola "brick" phone that looked like a small walkie-talkie. :lmao:

Because I've been with them so long, I more or less get treated very well when I call for any reason.

Yeah we are the same way, we have been with them for a very long time. I have been married to my husband and we together have been with Verizon combined for 35 yrs. LOL, 23 for him and about 12 for me. I actually had Verizon before I married him but under a different name obviously. Yeah they regard us as VIP customers. :yay:

There is a one year warranty on the Voyager. It should be no questions asked about the phone...

Hoover just got a Voyager last week and she seems to  it - reason I say that is she is not biatching about it.

We have been with Verizon for about 15 years and they are reasonable on requests and replacements if you have been with them for a while.

Sometimes these things happen, I would not blink twice about a refurbished phone - normally these are rejects that are sent back to the factory and they replace the electronics with NEW boards - so they are basically new phones. They have to sell them as refurbished phones as the serial number has been "sold" (not the ESN)

So, she got exactly same cell phone as I have after showing her my phone at your birthday party.

Now, she can text all the time much easier now.

BG has the Voyager and loves it, and I have the original EnV and have had it now for almost 2 years.

I was having battery issues a couple weeks ago, and they gave me a 'new' phone, still had the same issue, so I bought a new battery (which was what I was going to do in the first place) and now my battery lasts days instead of hours.

I've been real happy with the EnV.. and don't think BG has any issues with the Voyager, she likes it MUCH more than her old "Smart Phone".

My 3 month old Voyager crapped out on me today. Thought I would post this as a warning. They don't give you a new one either, it's a "certified" refurbished one!" If this one craps out on me I am going to throw it at the guy that said that to me!

Did u kno that u could of taken it back to the place u got it from and they are supposed to give you a new one b/c it was a phone defect.. and you only had it for 3 months?!?!

Do you work on the base? If so, that might be why your battery is draining. It seems to be more noticeable on the base than the ones who doesn't work on the base.

Well according to them they had to give me the certified refurbished one. It's better than my old one so I'm not really unhappy.

My friend has had the voyager since the week after it came out, replaced once at about 2 months because he sat on it and destroyed the outside screen. Current one is still working perfect. getting ready to pick one up to replace my 15 month old chocolate 2.

I had mine for 6 months before it did that...when i took it to the store they said my insurance didn't cover it because it was the touch screen...i went off and asked them how much it would be to cancel my service...i wanted an Iphone anyway..and magically I got a new phone at no charge...well, a newly refurbished one, but a phone that worked...

Goblin has a Voyager and within the past couple of weeks its starting randomly shutting itself down. The battery is always fully charged so we cant figure out whats going on with it. Goblin will go to use it and find that the darn thing is turned off. Has anyone else had this issue?
I find this frustrating. The moment when I need to contact my child and cant get through I'll be one PO"d momma.

Last time I was in Verizon, I was told that new phones have a 1 year warranty, but if you get a replacement (refurb) from them, then it is only a 3 month warranty... I know of a couple who have been S.O.L. b/c of being given a refurb which ended up having more problems later then the original phone. (and this was after the 3 month warranty time)

Thats how them b*tch's R
If you have the insurance with Verizon I believe it's through a company called Assurion. They do not give new phones. It may look like a new phone but it's a refurbished. Hubby just went through 2 Venus's. First one was lost, paid the $50 got phone in the mail. 16 days after getting the phone, he slides the screen up to answer a text and it comes apart. Looked like there weren't enough screws to hold it together. He calls Verizon and Assurion. You only have 7 days to claim something is wrong with the phone. They blamed him. He went round and round with them for a couple hours. He had to use his second claim to get another refurbished phone. It was total :bs:

 A card? A memory card? Sorry, I'm a little phone technical slow.
Isn't this "shutting itself off" issue considered a defect? Should I have to go out a purchase a card OR should Verizon cough up the money for it?
