Lies, Damn Lies, and Democratic Operatives

If the Police knock on the door and say politely "We have a warrant to search the premises for the items mentioned in the warrant, then that is a Judicial Warrant being carried out.

When 30 armed agents arrive if only one of them is carrying a machine gun that is a raid.

This one is a POLITICAL raid, led by a Law Enforcement Agency that has been converted into a Democrat Party Apparatus. These are Democrat federal Gestapo Agents. Secret Police run by a Political Party.

The question is how long will the opposition party (Republicans) allow it to operate in this fashion.
And how long before the public decides to rake a hand.

Or do we just sit in Obeisance like the Germans did.

Is this the FBI's bridge too far?

“Tonight was an hour of hot air and empty words from a desperate candidate who can’t get poll results back quick enough to tell her what government program to promise to voters next,” said Tate Mitchell, the incumbent governor’s spokesman. “Abrams’ plans would cost billions in new spending, and her record proves that she’s coming for your wallet to pay for it all.”

Mitchell accused Abrams of having changed her position on casino gambling. Kemp remains opposed to it. It would require a constitutional amendment needing a two-thirds vote in each chamber of the state legislature, Mitchell said. If it did pass, Kemp advocates putting the revenue toward supporting HOPE (Helping Outstanding Pupils Educationally) Scholarships for college students. Sports betting legislation has failed in previous legislative sessions, he said.

Abrams on Tuesday night detailed ambitious economic plans focused on Kemp’s rural Georgia voter strongholds. She advocated for expanding Medicaid to more people. That would bring in billions in federal tax money that Georgians aren’t tapping, which would, in turn, bolster shaky rural hospitals, numerous of which have closed in recent years forcing residents of the countryside to travel long distances for medical care. And she talked about greater assistance to broad swaths of the economy, from farms to small businesses.

I don't gamble. I have never liked losing, and losers are the people who build casino's and play the lottery.

Gambling by Government is basically an entertainment tax, because over time you will lose.
If a person wants to spend their money and be slowly robbed , and enjoy that, it's up to them, but it aint my bag.

Kevin McCarthy Promises a Republican Congress Will Obstruct Justice

The FBI’s search of Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago compound in Florida was not a “siege.” FBI agents were not “occupying” the former president’s “beautiful home,” as Trump suggested. It was not an example of what Trump described as “prosecutorial misconduct.” Nor was it an “assault [that] could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries.” The search was a formal action by law-enforcement officials that involved cooperation by at least two federal agencies—the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Secret Service. Those officials executed a court-approved search warrant to advance an appropriate and necessary inquiry into allegations that Trump had engaged in criminal violations of the Presidential Records Act.

No one was surprised that Trump mischaracterized the search. The former president is a desperate man who has a long history of lying when he is in trouble.

What was striking was the response of House Republican minority leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), who quickly issued a statement in which he declared:

I’ve seen enough.
The Department of Justice has reached an intolerable state of weaponized politicization. When Republicans take back the House, we will conduct immediate oversight of this department, follow the facts, and leave no stone unturned.
Attorney General Garland, preserve your documents and clear your calendar.

Serial Gaslighters

(1) They actually claimed that roughly $5 trillion in new 'Build Back Better' spending (not $1.9 trillion) would cost "zero dollars." This, after they assured Americans, wrongly, that their so-called rescue plan would not fuel inflation.

(2) Biden administration officials routinely assert that the border is closed and secure. Illegal border crossings have spiked to record highs, with millions of encounters since Biden took office. 'Known got-aways' on this president's watch are on track to hit one million in the coming months.

(3) Democrats are the party of defunding the police, which was a popular mantra on the Left back in 2020. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris indulged the madness, endorsing 'redirecting' police funds, and encouraging donations to bail rioters out of jail, respectively. When the political winds shifted, the administration landed on the imbecilic talking point that actually, it's the Republicans who want to defund the police.

(4) The tax-and-spend bomb known as the so-called "Inflation Reduction Act" is such a misnomer that even Bernie Sanders isn't having it. And almost nobody believes it:

“As soon as the act goes into effect, I hope that all of the provisions will begin to work,” he began. “I’m — I know that those who have been blaming President Biden for the inflation going up are now giving President Biden all the credit for inflation going down. So we’re moving things in the right direction already.”

“And what parts of the bill do you think will put — will work on that specifically?” a reporter challenged Raskin, who stumbled over his words briefly before offering a very definitive answer.

“Next question,” he said, shaking his head.

Top lawmakers seek intelligence assessment of documents from Mar-a-Lago

The letter was sent to National Intelligence Director Avril Haines by House Oversight Chairwoman Carolyn B. Maloney (D-N.Y.) and House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Adam B. Schiff (D-Calif.) and cites the search warrant cataloguing the classified documents of various levels of sensitivity found at Mar-a-Lago.

“Former President Trump’s conduct has potentially put our national security at grave risk,” the two wrote, asking also for a classified briefing on the assessment as soon as possible. “This issue demands a full review, in addition to the ongoing law enforcement inquiry.”

The two also voiced concern that the FBI is looking in part at highly classified documents related to nuclear weapons, as first reported by The Washington Post.

The Orange County NAACP Is Racist?

The Orlando Sentinel notes that after only five-plus months on the job, the president of the Orange County, Florida, chapter of the NAACP has tendered her resignation. The reason? Racist marginalization. Dr. Vanessa Toolsie, who was the first South Asian to helm the chapter, was elected vice president in 2021 and assumed the role when the former president resigned to run for a slot in the Florida House.

She accused the organization of leaving her off the guest list for its annual gala and keeping her out of the loop for meetings and ignoring her emails.

She originally wrote a letter stating:

“I have tried to resolve this internally for months, but no action to curb the harassment and racist marginalization was taken by superiors prior to my resignation announcement.”

She deleted the letter and replaced it with:

“Thank you to all of the branch Executive Committee members and branch members who have repeatedly tried to stand up for me, loudly and proudly, amidst the constant attacks in emails, at meetings, and otherwise; I truly appreciate you. However, it would be hypocritical of me to continue to stand at the helm of an organization branch ‘for the equality of all persons’ that is against racism and oppression, while I continue to be treated with such bold disproportionate inequality, maliciously racistly oppressed as the first AAPI President of the branch to a disproportionate blatant level that I have not yet seen in any organization.”

While the chapter has expressed concerns about the charges and said that it did not want to “overlook or dehumanize or, in any way, cause anybody problems or concern intentionally or unintentionally,” at least one person on a Monday membership Zoom meeting said that Toolsie’s claims were false allegations. Another demanded proof. Another wanted to ensure that something like this did not occur in the future.

‘If you think you’re safe… you’re not’

“They aren’t stopping either they are going to mow you down unless you learn where this is going. We learned that politicians don’t GAF about half of this country. Biden called 71 million voters fascist. They can’t define it, but you are one,” the user wrote. “And if you think your safe if you didn’t vote for Trump or you did reluctantly, let me disabuse you of the notion that you are safe, you aren’t.”

Lois Lerner claimed ignorance of tea party in secret deposition

Lois Lerner claimed to have little knowledge of the tea party movement and what it stood for, even as she oversaw the IRS’s intrusive scrutiny of tea party groups’ applications for nonprofit status, according to newly released transcripts of a long-secret deposition she gave.

In her 2017 testimony, given in a class-action lawsuit brought by tea party groups that the IRS admitted were wrongly treated, Ms. Lerner portrayed herself as a cog in the machine trying to figure out how to process cases efficiently rather than the anti-conservative crusader her private comments suggested.

[clip]

“Mistakes being made in cases do not translate into IRS is politically motivated,” she said in the deposition.

Ms. Lerner told Edward Greim, the lawyer who deposed her, that she “knew there was a tea party movement” and had a vague sense that it was conservative, but didn’t know anything else.

“I didn’t pay much attention to it,” she said.

When asked about the tea party movement’s specific activities, she said she “didn’t have any understanding.”

“Did you know the kind of issues that they advocated for and against?” Mr. Greim asked.

“Not really,” Ms. Lerner said.

The statement was startling, and those targeted by the IRS didn’t buy it.
