Local Boy Needs Bone Marrow Transplant

He did pass away this morning... I didn't want to post anything since some of his family and friends are in school and at work. I didn't want them to find out by reading a thread. :ohwell:

That would have been the best thing to do out of respect. I did not know Dylan or his family, but I am sorry to hear of his passing. :huggy:

Hello,
I just want everyone to know that we are still having the Bone Marrow Drive on the 21st and participating in Light the Night walk in MD and VA on Oct 2nd. We are still doing these events in honor of my nephew Dylan. I have received several calls and emails regarding the events and I just wanted to make everyone aware they are still on. Our family thanks everyone for their support and prayers.

Don't know if it's the same kid or not, but someone I know had a cousin named Dylan, who had Leukemia, and he passed away a few days ago.

I think it is great they are still having the blood drive so they can hopefully help someone else. I am very sorry to hear about his death. :huggy:

Bone Marrow Drive

Date & Time: Sept. 21st from 3pm to 8pm
Place: Shops of Breton Bay in Leonardtown
in front of the old Superfresh

National Institutes of Health and The Red Cross along with Dollars for Dylan are sponsoring a Bone Marrow Drive to benefit Dylan Brown, age 12, who is desperately in need of a transplant, as well as other children. Testing requires only a small blood sample to see if you are a potential match. You must be 18 to 60 years old to participate.

Contributions to help offset the cost for each person would be appreciated and may be made at the drive or sent to: Dollars for Dylan36596 Notley Hall Road, Chaptico, MD 20621.

In case someone needs the info again. I'm going to try my hardest to make it there!

UGH! Can someone tell me where the old Superfresh use to be?
It's that empty store just a couple doors down from Papa John's in Leonardtown. The shopping center strip right behind the Leonardtown Arby's.
