Lori-Be Pet center

I go there for my dog food, its the only place that sells it for miles.. but that is IT. Ever go over by the birds.. GROSS. However, the owners are an older couple.. I dont know if they can afford any help. :ohwell:

Definately the most disgusting pet store I have ever been to. I saw a live hamster being eaten and pulled in half by other hamsters. When I mentioned it to the man, he said "yea that happens." Oh my god...

Who runs that place, the National Zoo? I heard Elliott doing a joke contest to name the two baby cheetas at the zoo, with entires such as Rigor & Mortis.

I've heard about hamsters turning to cannibalism. That whole sweet, furry image is a load of crap, apparently. If I buy a set of two pet hamsters, I might name them Hannibal Lecter and Jeffrey Dahmer.

I absolutely LOVE Corner Critters. They hand feed the baby birds (to get them more adaptive to people), and it's just soo cute to watch. I can't remember the fat cat's name that roams the store and greets the customers, but I like to go in there whenever I'm in the area just to see what new stuff they have.

As for Lori-Be... I never walked through that door by my own will... The last time I was there... we bought a hampster (can't complain about him) and it was about 10 years ago :shrug: Ever since I had the choice, I've been going to Corner Critters or Petsmart.

I've never been to the store, but I think I just threw up in my mouth reading this thread. :ohwell:

There has got to be some health regulations that could cause the place to get closed down if it is really that bad.

Since then, they've moved somewhere else and I haven't had time to find them.

They're in Prince Frederick, next to Ledos. They did have a few problems before and after the move but the store is nice and well stocked now. I was just there today.

I don't know what type of food Bear is on, but I go to The Greenery in Park Hall for the girls' food. They carry Science Diet and such products.. They aren't too far south from the base and can probably order what you need. Just a thought.

I go to Corner Critters. They are great. They do treat MOST of their animals properly, all except the Guinea Pigs :ohwell:

They are nice and helpful and I've personally never seen a dead fish in their tanks. They have tons of reptiles and birds and the store cat is a sweetie!
