LOST A BOXER that recently had surgery??

More to the story: Boxer was lost approx. 1 week not 2 days. There was a 1st lady who took care of the dog for 1 week before the dog was taken to the vet office by a 2nd lady to see if he had a micro-chip. IF the dog had been recently adopted, wouldn't the dog have a micro-chip? Maybe it does and they SAID it didn't? The dog I adopted from the P G Shelter has a micro-chip so I know THEY do it - I assume the rescues have been doing it too?

Does anyone have a connection to the Humane Society to find out IF the Boxer was indeed turned in? I mean at this point with the several stories told by the vet office, them agreeing to turn the dog in to the Humane Society may be untrue to get us off their back. So I will persue this as long as I can until I know that dog is either back with its owner, or with a breed rescue if it isn't adopted from the shelter.

One thing I am good at is following through :high5: .

Good job Ark.

I have no connections to Humane Society but with the people at the vet changing their stories I have a hard time trusting what they say at this point. Maybe if you called the Humane Society and informed them of what is going on, they would tell you if in fact the Boxer was turned in like they told you he was. I was under the impression if a dog was adopted out by a rescue that they are chipped first but I truly have no idea.

The Humane Society KNOWS about the boxer from us, but said no boxer was turned in to them. She said she was told by the vet clinic last week that they scanned the micro chip and contacted the owner - recall that the lady who took the dog there to get the micro chip scanned was told that the dog didn't have one! They are lying so much to cover up what they did with that dog! What the heck can we do to make them turn that dog in to the proper authorities? The way this is going the rightful owner will never see their dog again.

I am waiting for PG Animal Control to call me back about whether or not they have a lost report for the boxer.

Can you talk to the head vet at the clinic? Explain that the person who brought in the dog for the scan had to sign a release form, and explain why you think the receptionist was lying.

Somehow I doubt I could get them to LET me talk to a vet there? Usually the vets don't take calls so what are the chances?

show up at lunch time or make an appointment to see the owner. they will do that. go face to face if you really want the answers and take your friend with you that dropped the dog off. she can tell them what happened

I have several boxer rescues HELPING us to find the owner - great huh? AND I put out a ad on CraigsList to locate the owner. The next step WILL be to go there and talk to the vet(s) because they need to know what's going on. That dog needs to be turned over to the Humane Society so that a qualified Boxer rescue can get the dog IF we don't find he owner. Short of taking out a paid ad in the newspaper, I'm not sure what else we can do to find the owner?
