I am doing pretty well on a low carb approach..

but im getting VERY tired of cheese and pepperoni....as for meals I do chili, or bunless burgers, or grilled chicken with bacon and cheese..but im getting really sick of those things..any suggestions for good low carb meals? ( I keep it very low carb, trying to keep them 20-30 a day)

Fish & eggs are low/no carb too. Ribs, pork chops, veal (unbreaded), roast beef, steaks, prime rib.... light salads.

You need more protein and filling foods, less of the crap.

Are you doing Southbeach, Adkins or some other type of program?

If you buy the "Josephs Pita's" at Walmart (5 carbs) you can use them to make mini pizzas!!! yum

I buy the lowest carb spaghetti sauce or pizza sauce I can find make them all up at one time and freeze them. Then just pop one in the toaster oven

...............................................

Bacon Cheeseburger Quiche

Ingredients:

* 1 lb. very lean hamburger
* 1 small chopped onion
* 4 slices crisp-cooked bacon, chopped in bits
* 3 eggs
* 1/2 cup mayonnaise
* 1/2 cup half-n-half
* 8 oz. shredded chedder or swiss cheese
* garlic powder to taste (optional)
* white pepper

Bacon Cheeseburger Quiche Brown hamburger in skillet with onion. Remove and mix in bowl with bacon pieces, breaking up any larger clumps with a fork or pastry mixer until you have a fine mix. Drain well of any excess grease and press into the bottom of a deep-dish pie pan. Set aside.

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Combine remaining ingredients in mixer bowl and whip well. Pour mixture over beef "crust" and bake 40-45 minutes until top is browned and "set." Cool 15-20 minutes before slicing. This can be packaged in Ziplocs or plastic containers for meals quickly microwaved over the next 3-5 days. (Does not freeze well, though.)

Serves 6. 2 grams per serving.

- chicken or steak on the grill, so many marinades for variety
- chicken and/or cheese quesadillas made w/ low carb wraps
- egg salad, chicken salad
- sausage & peppers, although peppers & onions do have some carbs
- chef's salads, cobb salad, buffalo chicken salad - better than just a plain
old veggie salad
- Safeway makes a pretty good low carb ice cream

I like Dreamfields pasta but I can't find it around here any longer. Have you seen it lately in the stores around here?

haven't tried it yet... sounds good tho!

I know what ya mean... on my birthday instead of dreaming of birthday cake ... all I wanted was a waffle !:killingme

I usually just have a whey protein shake for breakfast- grew tired of eggs long ago. I started low carbing in February this year.
