Spent a bunch of time in central NJ for business, that was the breakfast of choice :yay: Guy behind the counter always asked "salt, peppa, ketchup"... Tavern down the road from the plant featured the "Garbage Can" burger, 1/2 lb cheeseburger, hunk-o-taylor roll and all the fixins...

My parents used to make sandwiches for my sister and I with this for our school lunches and I remember getting so angry having to spit out each of those annoying peppercorns... I was in elementary school so who know, I may actually like the stuff now

Taylor ham/pork roll. Yeah, it's pretty much the state sandwich, but is any food item more overrated? Pork roll is bland and boring and one-tenth as tasty as bacon; give me a big fat bacon and egg sandwich any day. And North Jersey, do me a favor; stop calling all pork roll Taylor ham. If it's not made by Taylor Provisions, it's not Taylor ham. Not all the pork roll you get in North Jersey is made by Taylor; there's a good chance you're actually eating Case pork roll. Repeat after me: All Taylor ham is pork roll; not all pork roll is Taylor ham.

I am so very blessed
Whenever my mom wanted to make me feel special and loved, she'd make me a sammich with fresh squishy white Wonder Bread, a very light touch of Hellman's mayonnaise, and a few slices of olive loaf deli meat.

I have a need to feel special and loved again. I'll need to pick up some olive loaf and a fresh package of Wonder Bread. Oh, my! :yum:

That's because you were always a brat growing up, so even when your mom was bestowing the Miracle of Olive Loaf to show her love for you, you just assumed it was because you were being punished.
