‘How Do You Live With Yourself?’

Writer Marie Myung-Ok Lee responded, saying, “I don’t understand why Gorsuch isn’t the one being exiled for being a d***.”

And others quickly agreed that Gorsuch should have to be the one working remotely if he was not going to wear a mask during oral arguments.
The Daily Caller’s editor-in-chief Geoffrey Ingersoll offered a different perspective, noting that all of the Justices were vaccinated and were constantly being tested.

Nothing stopping her from wearing a mask, or even a respirator if that is her choice
She can wear 2 masks or three if she is that frightened.

What no one seems to get is, if YOU think you are vulnerable and susceptible to a danger - the onus is on YOU to protect yourself.

You know there’s lots of dangers people can experience out there. A hemophiliac can bleed to death if you scratch them - so the entire world must walk about in bubble wrap? The concept is BACKWARD.

If you are seriously allergic to shellfish you don’t go places where you’ll be exposed. If you have a gluten allergy you don’t require the world to cook things that are gluten-free.

You take care of yourself.

This is the basis of freedom. What THEY are proposing is the basis of socialism. When you’re free, you take responsibility for your life choices. You don’t have to uproot and alter YOUR life because someone ELSE needs you to - they’re responsible for themselves.

Ah, but that's exactly what Democrats do. They go to the crab house and demand they stop serving shellfish. We've already seen them demand everyone stop eating peanut butter because their kid is allergic.

Sotomayor is just making a stink because she's embarrassed about getting caught being a corporate media shill spewing propaganda. So like a good little Marxist she ratchets up on the stupid.

Gorsuch, Sotomayor Release Joint Statement Calling NPR Report About Mask ‘False’

The report started to crack Tuesday evening, when Fox News reported that their source refuted the claim.

Speaking to Fox News’ Bret Baier, network host and reporter Shannon Bream noted that the NPR report said Sotomayor “did not feel safe in close proximity to people who were unmasked.”

“Chief Justice John Roberts, understanding that, in some form asked the other Justices to mask up,” the NPR report claimed.

“It then says that Justice Gorsuch who normally sits right next to Sotomayor on the bench has repeatedly refused to do so and that’s forced Justice Sotomayor to operate remotely from her office for arguments and conferences,” Bream outlined.

So much for the trusting Nina Totenberg nonsense . :faint:

NPR reporter fumes over Supreme Court statement refuting outlet's story, implies Gorsuch and Sotomayor lied

An NPR reporter appeared to call Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Sonia Sotomayor liars on Wednesday after they issued a joint statement disputing a recent NPR report as "false."

NPR reported the conservative justice refused to wear a mask on the bench despite requests to do so, but Gorsuch and Sotomayor issued a statement calling it a "false" story that surprised them. As the joint statement spread across the media industry, NPR reporter David Gura raised eyebrows by declaring the justices’ statement was "at best false" while he condemned reporters who passed it along.

NPR Lied: Sonia Sotomayor Hit by the Fake News Truck

Jonathan Turley knows why Nina Totenberg did this.

Totenberg has been previously accused of bias by Republican and conservatives on her takes on the Supreme Court. In one incident, NPR itself expressed regret that Totenberg did not reveal a close personal relationship with the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg despite years of coverage. We previously discussed another dubious story where she attacked Gorsuch while extolling the brilliance of Justice Elena Kagan.

But Totenberg, by spreading this false rumor, not only led to unfair criticism of Gorsuch but also did the same to Sotomayor because it led to pieces like mine where I defended Gorsuch and dragged Sotomayor over some very spicy coals! Totenberg made that happen! Now the right thinks Sotomayor is a Branch Covidian, and the left thinks Neil Gorsuch is a Grinch who doesn’t care if Sotomayor lives or dies! That’s all Totenberg’s fault.

Totenberg lost her insider friend in RBG and picked up Sotomayor. Now she's trying to get Kagan to give her insider info.

NPR public editor admits SCOTUS story 'merits clarification,' says reporter's word choice was 'misleading'

McBride zeroed in a specific except from Totenberg's report regarding how the Supreme Court justices were adjusting to COVID precautions had changed following the holiday break during the Omicron surge.

Totenburg had written, "according to court sources, Sotomayor did not feel safe in close proximity to people who were unmasked. Chief Justice John Roberts, understanding that, in some form or other, asked the other justices to mask up."

McBride noted that later Tuesday, the word "asked" was changed to "suggested."

"Exactly how did Roberts, in some form, ask or suggest that his colleagues cover up? Totenberg told me she hedged on this: "If I knew exactly how he communicated this I would say it. Instead I said ‘in some form,’" McBride recalled her exchange with Totenberg. "That phrasing is at the core of the dispute. Totenberg said she has multiple, solid sources familiar with the inner workings of the court who told her that Roberts conveyed something to his fellow justices about Sotomayor's concerns in the face of the omicron wave. Totenberg said her NPR editors were aware of who those sources are and stood by the reporting."

[clip]

Fox News' Shannon Bream reported Tuesday on "Special Report" that NPR's reporting was "not accurate," according to a source, saying there was never a request by Roberts for everyone to wear masks, Sotomayor never made such a request to Gorsuch and Gorsuch never refused to wear a mask.

Bottom Line .......

NPR published some spicy click bait .... and subsequently NPR was called out for inaccuracies in the report, by the SUBJECTS of the report

So some source said there was a problem, or assumptions were made .. instead of I dunno reaching out for conformation from the parties involved NPR ran with there click bait

Gonna leave a mark!

Ok, before we even get started on the crazy that is Rachel Maddow, the only reason we became aware of her little temper tantrum last night is that this blue check who was screeching at DeSantis over anti-Semitic flyers seen in the Democratic-majority Miami-Dade county was once again screeching loudly about Florida.

But this time it was in support of poor Rachel who didn’t like the response she received from Florida’s Department of Health Press Secretary, Jeremy Redfern.

Rachel Maddow to take a temporary break from her MSNBC show to work on movie and podcast projects

Maddow is taking time off to work on a Focus Features movie based on her book and podcast, "Bag Man," about a political bribery scandal. It will be directed by Ben Stiller and Maddow will be an executive producer. The influential anchor is also developing a new podcast.

Maddow's break to reenergize and set up her new outside projects will be temporary, however, and she plans to continue her prime-time show five nights a week upon her return, one of the sources confirmed. The source said that Maddow wouldn't disappear from the network entirely and would be back for special-event coverage during this hiatus.

does anyone think she is returning after the ' break '
