Maid Service in SOMD

I've used Merry Maid and MaidPro. They are pretty much the same. 3 br house, 2 baths $135. Every 2 weeks. Here's the thing....they don't move furniture aside to clean underneath, they will clean "around" anything on the floor rather then pick it up no matter how small. Decent job in bathrooms, and dusting furniture, and in the kitchen. They don't do beds, they don't load a dishwasher or do laundry. Well they will but you pay extra.

UPDATE - Maidpro is horrible, those people have attitudes. They cancelled me because I complained that my floors weren't being vacuumed. That's why most people hire a cleaning service, right? They use a dry dust mop on non-carpeted floors, dragging the mess from one end of the house to the other. But no vacuuming! Proper cleaning is to vacuum each room. You have to watch these people closely too. I installed cameras and the owner of Maidpro still called me a liar. And, as others have said, hide your medications, jewelry, anything in your home office. I was missing almost an entire bottle of prescription meds. Bonding these people don't mean anything to the customer, it's just to protect the business they are working for. Yes just find someone who has been recommended to you. And check them out.

About 20 years ago when I still only had 1 daughter and was a SAHM I cleaned house for a friend's elderly parents. It was all paid under the table. I was cheaper than a maid service (and somebody they knew) for them and for me, I was able to bring my daughter, who they loved, and make a little extra $ to help with the bills. There were some things I did every visit like dusting, vacuum, bathrooms and some things I did once in awhile like windows, tops of cabinets. I would rotate the extras so I did the same amount of work each time and kept the pay the same. It was also nice because there was flexibility on both ends if it needed to be a different day or time.

Keep your mind open and keep asking around. Good luck!

Does everything I flush end up in the food chain? Even Poopoo?
Well poo is biodegradable so no. There is clear evidence that some drugs do pass right through waste processing facilities and wind up in fish for instance. Was that a real question or just an FU ?
