Here's the thing:

For every evil woman who makes her husband's life a living hell, then ditches him for her drug dealer, there's another woman who raised the kids and supported her husband in his schooling and career, only to have him run off with the barmaid and leave her and the kids penniless with no means of support.

Those women shouldn't have to suffer financially because the man changed his mind and wanted to trade her in. But it should be awarded on a case by case basis - I don't agree with some chickie soaking her ex because she wanted to run off to Tahiti with some stud.
You haven't been to the "E-Club" the weekend a squadron left for deployment have you.

I agree, hideous crap goes both ways, but it goes equally. I have seen guys held hostage by chicks lawyers over their retirement. I have seen cheating lying biatches get half of his retirement for life even though they banged half of 5th fleet while he was in some metal shack in disgustville nowhere.

I have little problem with some retirement being treated as marital property as long as it is across the board and 401K's IRA's qualified pensions in ALL occupations are treated that way as well.

I think when the woman had her entire name legally changed to a mans name that should void the legal agreament. The person that he made the original alimony agreament with no longer exists. Therefore he is no longer under any monitary agreament with anyone.

Yeah, the agreement calls for him to pay "Julia" not "Julio"

True story:

I once went on a blind lunch date with this guy who started immediately telling me all sorts of personal stuff. I said, "So why'd you and your wife get divorced?" And he replied, "Because she went lesbo."

Now, I don't know about the rest of you ladies, but a guy whose wife not only divorces him but changes sides as well is not a guy I'd want to get involved with.

Maybe the newly lesbian and/or transsexual ex-wife learned from the ex-husband the right way to please a woman, and she wasn't very good at pleasing her man in the first place?
