If she could not wipe her own azz, how in the world did she leave her husband? She couldn't have gotten too far @ 600+ pounds.

Unless they lived at the top of a hill, and she rolled herself to the bottom.

Umm I have had a few patients this large before..and I still can't quite figure out how they have sex :twitch: I mean..putting a catheter in one takes two people at least..

And yeah, cleaning them up when they use the bedpan is horrifying..the bedpan is never quite big enough and it makes a huge mess.

clipping coupons in someone that large burns hundreds of calories..so i am thinking just trying to find "it" is enough to make her lose weight :killingme

I have an EMT friend. Last year they got a call to take a morbidly obese lady to the ER. He said they had to back the ambulance up to her porch to get her in and when she finally got in the ambulance it sank so low it got hung up on the porch, so they had to unload her and try again. Anyhoo, they got her to the ER and she had a horrible odor but they had to get her in a hospital gown so he helped. When the nurses started to swab her, to clean her, they were lifting up the folds of fat and under her breast/naval they found a green glob covered in pus. It was a dead kitten.

I just cannot comprehend how someone could let themselves become that overweight.

I have battled my weight my entire life and have never been "obese" unless you consider pregnancy... ( I gained 65 pounds in 9 months - it was rough times)...
But to be roughly 500 pounds overweight? seriously? How does that even happen? :jameo: How much do you have to eat?

I panic when I gain 5 pounds and work to lose it right away... she gained 5 pounds 100 times...

I just don't understand.

And at some point someone must have been bringing her food because there is no way she could get it herself.

It has been my experience that nearly every super morbidly obese person like that has someone who likes them that way, and who works hard to keep them that way.
