Marriage counseling

Lots of good points and in my opinion both has to wanna more than anything else. We went to our pastor initially and think he was turned off when I told he didn't want to know what I thought about organized religion. We later paid several visits to a so called marriage expert. Gave us both something to talk about but really didn't help with a cure. Happily single now and she's found the man of her dreams - and I'm happy for her.

with all these other threads going on about marriage, cheating, open marriage, etc. I was wondering has anyone ever gone to marriage counseling? Does it work? Let me hear your stories

No this is not about me or a friend just a question....

:kickingdirt: thought you might be available.

It works if both parties are honest. My ex husband was a pretty good manipulator so it didn't work for him. All thru the divorce proceedings he neglected to tell me another women was pregnant, so...that's why counseling would have never worked. When you play games, you get burned. Both parties have to have the right intensions; no hidden agendas.
or be happily divorced ~ like me! ......running off with his money and the cute counselor always helps too (so I've heard)
