Sure "hvp" is being sarcastic but there is much truth in those words.

The concept of Affirmative Action ( [Link HERE] Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy) was and is a noble and worthy cause.

And giving welfare to qualifying single parent families is our duty, and to NOT do it would be reprehensible.

I am not assulting white people by saying the whites need to repent and make right our wrongs.

There is nobility in admitting that we were wrong and we are wrong,

He is referring to President Lyndon B Johnson - he signed the Civil Rights Act into law. It guaranteed that "No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination"

This was signed during the MLK Jr. civil rights era...

that MLK Jr., got the concept of non violent civil disobediance from Gandhi.

In fact Gandhi taught it to the whole world, and thank God he did.
