Because they stopped a lot of the horrible racial bigotries by the white population.

I think the moron got all his info about Gandhi from the film which was a great piece of (partially) Indian government funded propaganda. There is a lot about Ghandi the typical american dosen't know. Such as:

Well I was not certain how to define that word myself and that is why I looked it up.

So the link was put there for anyone else who might not know the specific deffinition.

If you already knew the deffinition then I do not see how such a link could be offencive as it certainly was not meant as offencive.
