Maryland Historic Motor Vehicle Registration

Ass-hole
Day after I got my Historic plates for my Town Car, I got t-boned by some ass wipe teen.
totalled both cars.

Still have the tags.. just dont have anything to put them on.

Maybe I can staple them to the back of my mother in laws head.

Staples would not work well with tags. I would use tag screws or ten penny nails to secure them.

Better check with Pete first.

Apparently its a lot more common than I thought.

Given the increased cost of registrations, I need to get off my arse and convert a couple of mine to Historic tags. Just got the renewal notice yesterday for my '69 Bronco...ouch.

I have, this mornings was an crappy old white GMC van with a couple of ladders hanging out of the back hole where a window once was. The odds that he was going to a car show are pretty slim.

I've noticed a ragged out S-10 work truck sporting historic tags. Irritates me since I Do have a Historic AND play by the rules.:burning:

Historic tags

I think it is a great idea for the LEO's to start trying to ticket all those low life cheep skate people with the historic tags. I just love when they devote their time to being money generators for the state instead of being out there patrolling for the hardened criminals that are constantly breaking the law. Maybe that explains why there has been an increase in daytime breaking and enterings and roberies.

Like the deputy who strolls the sidewalk in front of Wal*Mart on the weekends?

Edit: Does the County constabulary intend or plan to stop every car with "Historic" tags and ask them where they're going, or 'how many miles have you driven today?' I doubt it. The folks that should raise the rates on the abusers are the insurance companies. "Under this registration and insurance coverage, you are only allowed to drive X# of miles a year." I thought that that is how "Historic" autos were classified/covered to receive the miniscule premiums.

So they should just ignore all those pesky little laws, and only enforce the ones that Dan thinks matter. Great idea - if you are an idiot.

I do find it hilarious when I see Mazda Miata's and Nissan maximas with historic tags but I guess they are old enough now.

My Laser would have historic tags if I still had it.

The worst part about it is that the vehicle does not have to be inspected and this is usually the reason they are tagged this was 'cause they wouldn't pass Md. State Insp. Scary.
